The room was clean and nice with a view. The whole restuarant (the one and only in the hotel)was closed the first day, all day. So we had to option but to eat out. The staff at reception was the worst: not friendly at all, and it took a long time to get in contact with them. The treatments we had reservation for were just moved to another time, eventhough they were made 6 days in advance. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You can get a lot more for you money in other hotels in Jurmala. Will never go back.

overall the hotel was very good, our room was lovely large, and clean but no paper tissues
The spar was wonderful as was the swimming pool area
We enjoyed the beauty treatments all excellent although when we went to book a treatment two of the staff one from floor 2 and one from floor 3 were discusing a matter and we were told to wait,we would have expected the client comes first?
Food on the first day after arriving from Riga we were unable to get a snack meal but were offered the dining room with the same menu for lunch and evening meal when all we wanted was a sandwich, we resorted by going across the road to a newsagents and purchased a toastie which we took to our room . room service didnt start until 3pm and the cafe upstairs didnt open until 3pm there was a cafe attached to the dining room but this only served coffee, smoothies and a cake? why couldnt they have done sandwiches. smoothies and cake dont think so.
the hotel was very much into conferences etc but saying that we had a nice time

Excellent hotel in marvellous surroundings. Comfortable hotel rooms. The wall-sized windows are great especially on the upper floors. Good breakfast. Nice spa. Good connections to Riga by train and bus. Great to take long walks on the 30 km long beach and afterwards take a bath in the pools and the saunas.

The hotel and facilities were wonderful. Only thing missing was coffee making facilities in the rooms. Its a pitty that hotel of such standards are so expensive in Ireland.
Highly recommend it to anyone.

Rooms very very nice, breakfast was
great, hotel location optimal in Jurmala.
There was always some hassle in the breakfast room, because this and that was finnished, but when taking time you got everything you liked.
In the winter time Jurmala is a bit boring place and far a way from Riga.
There are of course no travel guides in the winter time.
The promises in the reception were not kept.
I didnt get next room to my mother and sister, although I phoned well in advance.
The hotel spa was available free to customers only till 4 pm, which made difficult to plan the daily activities.
Most people want to go to spa after the daily activities.
Also special diets were not available, f.ex my sister didnt get her glutein-frei-diet in spite I phoned well in advance.
My old mother didnt get her room until 4 pm without pushing.
The personel has still much to learn about good customer-service.
I had a frightened experience when using hotel taxi. The taxi asked first the money claiming he has no money or petrol. You must be careful as to security situation in Latvia.

we have arrived at 4 Pm and we were told that the use of the swimming pool was until that hour and the day after until 12:00 which is the checkout. The breakfast was until 10 and that made it difficult to use the swimming pool with full belly. The sound of the extrator in the room was very high and after half an hour of discussion they sent somebody and they accepted to do something.
The rooms and swimmingpool were very nice. On the whole we enjoyed.

we were very happy with everything, the room which was very quiet, the spa centre was wonderful and the restaurant was excellent. The only thing I have to complain about is the transfer to the hotel and from the hotel. We had to take a taxi both way even if they had their own shuttle.

Good quality hotel/spa, with very good sauna/treatment facilities. Roman sauna, salt cave, some kind of sulphur bath etc.
Some 200-300m from the beach, which is of surprisingly fine sand. The hotel is located on the main pedestrian road with plenty of restaurants etc., central location.
Rooms have efficient (japanese) air conditioning systems, which can be controlled by the guests. Nice and modern decoration.
P.S.Once siging in at 2 o'clock, be quick on a first day if you want to utilise the sauna&swimming pool facilities free of charge, i.e. before 16:00.

Jurmala Spa hotel
Rooms: could be better for a 4 star hotel. No safe in Room, no english TV ch. No room service. Could be more decorated with pictures to get an athmospere.
Breakfast: a disaster. Staff had no service, running empty of bread and had to wait 10 mins for more, running empty of juice and other items. Same Russian omelett every day , no scrambled eggs, fried eggs etc. No salt on tables, had to ask for this every day. Not even up to 2 star hotel in breakfast.
Dinner: did not want to try the kitchen after the breakfast experience.
Location: very good, nice and quite.
Lots of restaurants close by.
Spa: good spa with many pools. However staff in spa could have taken a course in friendliness and service.
Reseption: No good service and no friendly staff. In the evenings long lines and only one on duty in reseption. THis made guests unsatisfied.
Could not by food and drinks in hotel and sign on room, even if credit card numbers was given upon arrival. not experienced this on 4 starts hotel before.
Will definately not go back, too expensive for this poor service and to be a new hotel!

The hotel was clean an rooms cosy (we had the cheapest room). A short walk to the beach and 0 m to the lively pedestrian street. A little minus from messy breakfast (which was anyway very generous).

Avery god Hotel placed on main walking Street in Jurmala. The hotel has a fantastic SPA section and also a very good pool area with a lot of different Saunas. The room we get was very nice on the top flour with a beautiful whew and also with AC. From the bar at the top of the hotel (11 Flour) we saw a fantastic sunset one of the evenings. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much and we think we get value for the money we spend. If we are going back to Jurmala we think we will book the same hotel.

The location was good and breakfast was good too, although there was only one kind of bread. The decor was simple and beautiful. The service was slow and a bit rude especially in the bar.

Very nice and peaceful hotel, our room had recently been renovated, it was nicely decorated. The breakfast was a treat, the view from the skybar was fantastic and the hotel location is perfect, just off the Jurmala main street. The spa was wonderful and relaxing, and it was relatively easy to make the bookings beforehand. We experienced very good service in the hotel, spa and restaurants so I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jurmala.

brand new hotel. we booked a standard room, very clean, confortable and design. A bit cold in the rooms, but staff very helpful to resolve. Very nice 'wellness oasis' with multiple pools with different temperature. Very pleasant to have all the spa treatments inside the hotel. Very well located, near to the main pedestrian street of Jurmala and just 5 min walk from the beach.
Would definitely recommend!

The service at this hotel was terrible, the staff in the restaurant especially. The spa was fantastic, all the treatments were highly enjoyable and the spa staff was very nice. However, the all-over impression was destroyed by the bad treatment we recived, we also heard other guests complain. They were very little helpful, and most of the time down right rude, for example sighing and rolling their eyes because we wanted to pay separetly. Not to mention the dirty bedlinin. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone

Some problems when we tried to order SPA
from Norway because not everybody speak so good english...

This hotel is well situated in the heart of Jurmala. Our room was a superior twin room in the 6th floor.
The room was large with a huge balcony
and one wall all window with a great wiew to the park.
The food and service in the restaurant were excellent.
The spa and the safe were included in the price. Take your own bath robe!(the rent is expensive)
What bothered us was the price of taxi.
We had to pay 20 LVL to the airport from in front of the hotel!

I had booked TWIN standard room. The room was clean and well maintained by the room service. However the drain in the bath room was not big enough to manage the water from the shower, thus each time taking a shower the bathroom was about 1 inch "under water".
The breakfast room was crowded every morning and the food was aceptable but not delicius. Especially the juices were almost sugar with water and not fresh done.
The restaurant was not competitive compared with others in the same location.
The gambling hall gave the hotel a "cheap" image.
The Spa quality was acceptable but the hotel guest had to pay for it if they were going to use it before 09.00am and after 07:00pm. (In the time slot where it was free a hotel guest is usually out for sight seeing!)
In addition, the hotel guest could not use the Gym free of charge.
But location was in the center of Majori, very good!

Our superiorroom was very nice, liked spesially balcony.
The music in the breakfastroom were a bit to loud.
Should absolutly not cost anything to use the exerciseroom for the hotelguest. A man told us to pay 3 L a day, but we actually did not. Guests does not pay for this in a 4 star hotel.

We enjoyed our 2-day stay at the hotel Jurmala Spa. An exclusive hotel, but one could still afford to take a beer or a coffee Latte on the terrasse. Service was good, and the staff was large. Excellent to be able to enjoy the saunas and the spa as hotel guest. Free of charge between 10-16. The Spa was very professional and we ordered massage as well for 16 lats an hour.
Only "complaints" are that the breakfast could have been better, not that it was not good. Also, there was no safetybox in the room, nor any mini-bar.
All-in-all, we were very satisfied with our stay at the Jurmala Spa

- There is no room service at all in the hotel
- International TV channel offering was quite limited

The rooms were clean an pretty good. The location is nice. The Sauna and Spa area was vey nice. Wansnt possible to get anything to eat after 23:00 not even snacks. Think the first floor of the hotel is very. Didnt like the hallways upstairs etc. The breakfast wasnt great.
