The hotel was ideally suited if, like me, you want to be in the centre of venice. It is literally a stone's thrown from st mark's square. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet was okay. The only down side was that the room, which was nice, was on the first floor and the street noise kept me awake until the early hours, particularly as the air conditioning broke down for a couple of days which meant the windows had to be open. It is also close to the campanile and the bells do go on until midnight and start up again at 6.00 !
