Great location, but the room size, disinterested staff and really poor quality breakfast let this hotel down.

The hotel was great! Amazing location. Right in the middle of all the shopping and about a 2 minute walk from St. Mark's. The only reason I gave it a 9 was because it seemed the room could have been a bit cleaner, as well as the shower. It was clean, but I could see an inch of dust on the lamps. But the room was big and pretty modern for Venice. I would stay there again!

The hotel is very close to Piazza San Marco, only a few minutes by walk. It is also close to the vaporetto stop Giglio, again a few minutes walk but you have to cross a small bridge which may be a bit awkward with luggage. Breakfast at the hotel is buffet with a satisfactory selection of cereals, fruits, pastry, bacon and eggs, bread, cheeses/salamis/hams etc... The reception staff are very helpful. There is on offer a free taxi service to one of the glass factories at Murano, arranged by the Hotel. We had two rooms, one slightly better than the other. Our room was nothing to write home about especially given the fact that this is a four star hotel but it was clean with all amenities such as a safe and a mini bar. Bed linen was changed during our six day stay, lots of bath towels. My uncle's bathroom sported also a jacuzzi. We were transferred to this hotel due to an overbooking at the Hotel Sant Angelo. I admit that I was a bit disappointed with the change per se since I had booked a couple of months before and did not expect my hotel to be changed at the last minute however Hotel Saturnia was a satisfactory alternative.

Well-placed hotel with easy access to all important sights. Quality of the service was good as was the breakfast. The room we occupied was a bit small and dark for a 4-star rating, but I think we were perhaps unlucky and it depends on the room you are allocated.
