The hotel’s 150 rooms were completely renovated in 2001 in 18th century Venetian style, providing guests with a décor typical to the most prestigious and noble palaces of Venice. All the rooms have a complete en suite bathroom, hair dryer, direct-line telephone, colour TV with satellite connection, fridge/bar, safe, radio, alarm clock and air conditioning.

A full buffet breakfast is served every morning in the hotel’s breakfast room from 7am. The Carlton Cafe serves a selection of light snacks and provides guests with the perfect spot to sit back and relax while enjoying a few drinks after a long day. The best thing i like in the hotel is its lovely location to the grand canal which increase its beauty automatically, room was nice, service is soo nice i like this hotel and in future i would like to come again

This was a vet nice hotel, especially for the price we paid with yeego in venice! it's right acroos the bridge from the train station, and close to the cruise ship docks. Walk or take the vaporetto, not a water taxi, but it does have it's own taxi dock for convienience. They also got us to murano glass in a free water taxi. Getting back is on you, but again, us the water bus. We were able to walk to rialto and st. Marks from here, seeing all the little back streets and shops along the way. We'd go back!

Room was very comfortable but tea & coffee making facilities would have been appreciated. Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff.Need tables out the front for guests to sit and relax and enjoy the view and atmosphere sat at one we thought was not part of restaurant but where moved on even though we explained we where hotel guests did not appreciate this most of the other tables where empty so we where not preventing paying patrons!

Beautiful furnished rooms, excellent location short distance walk from bus and train station. Hotel service excellent. I had only one fault, and that was with breakfast room staff, who were very rude and abrupt. One elderly lady asked for a glass of water while they were clearing away tables, and was told restaurant was closed. I was shocked as were other guests,as every other member of the hotel staff were excellent. Despite this one fault, i had an excellent stay at this hotel.

(hotel carlton canale grande, venice): rooms are furnished in venetian style, all is very clean and in good order, all appliances function well (lamps, water taps, bathtub, etc.).
Room was quiet, personal very corteous.
Negative: it was impossible to control the heating (room too hot, bathroom cold).
