The entrance to the hotel is fine but immeidately you go to reception you feel like your are an inconvenience interrupting their telephone call/conversation. The porter showed us to the room, our faces dropped as we saw the room it looked like a coffin, shiny black marble, mirrors all over the place and padded wall coverings, extremely small only one person could walk about at a time. Downstairs the Piano bar with very comfy sofa's and chairs was a nice place to relax, we thought, after a long day sightseeing but drinks at 15 euro's each soon put a stop to that. The bed was rock hard not so good when you want to relax after walking about all day, better than a saggy bed though. Location was quiet if you keep the window shut and use the air conditioning otherwise you get woken up early, around 5 -6 am with the laundry trolley rattling along the cobbles outside. Overall clean and central but snooty staff and small room spoilt the stay.

The room which we were given was extremely small nearly not enough space for 2 people. Probably honeymooners wouldn't mind it !! Otherwise very well equipped and very nicely furnished. Room overlooks a very narrow street with very little incoming daylight and with overlooking third party windows across the street. Room Airconditioning not very effective. Room and all Hotel very clean and beautifully furnished throughout. Service very good. Staff very helpful. Food, Bar and restaurants excellent. Location perfectly situated very central.
