We found the Septembbre 95 hotel to be sufficient for our needs. It is very centrally located – about a 5-10min walk from the main Termini station, we got by with only having to use the underground network once, as keen walkers we found we were within walking distance to everywhere that we wished to visit. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the owners were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was minimal but OK, the TV wasn’t tuned into any English channels – not even BBC World. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for the price and location. Food isn’t cheap in Rome and a lot of the restaurants we found quite disappointing especially with the cost, but we managed to find a great steakhouse a few minutes walk from the hotel and on the way to the Main Termini station, the food, value and quality of service in there was great and by far the best place where we ate throughout our 6 nights in Rome.
