The Hotel Athena is a charming two star hotel that is located right next to the first University of Rome and two kilometers from Rome’s historic city center. The Termini train station can also be found at two kilometers. This is also where guests will find the different bus lines as well as the city’s two underground lines. Rome's major tourist sights, such as the Colosseum, are only 4 subway stops away.

The hotel was situated about 10 minutes (on foot) from the nearest metro stop. The hotel room was cold and a bit untidy. We often ran out of hot water in the shower after 10 minutes. The breakfast was very quite poor.

The room and especially the bathroom was too small. There was no Wi-Fi and AC which we expected. There was only a lousy Table fan. The service of the day time office bearer was pathetic. My companion's (Young Married Couple) room was even more pathetic. NO Lousy FAN also! Only good point was good early breakfast - complimentary! Overall the hotel was disappointing.
