The Taormina Hotel is a charming two star hotel that is located in the historical center of Rome, near its important historical and artistic monuments, such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano, just to mention a few. The hotel is just round the corner from Via Appia, which is well-known for its cheap and famous shops. It offers good public transport connections to the rest of the city.

For the 2 stars it was just perfect. Nothing lacked. Good position rather close to Termini railway station and still not in it's marginal outskirts. Even if it's not a luxury district I felt safe even returning late at night. The breakfast did it's work and was ok.

Our room was really nice, almost new. The breakfast was to simple and with no variations (juice, coffee, bread and mermalade). The hotel is close to a metro station and on walking distance from other attractions, but at night we were told that the area was a bit dangerous.
