The Elite Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of all sights. It has a very modern foyer with internet access. Upstairs there is free internet access for all residents. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was a continental breakfast with croissants, cake, juice and tea / coffee. The room was small but that is what you would expect in the old buildings but it was very clean. The room was cleaned every day. Hot shower with a small bath included and air-conditioning with controls. Well worth the stay.

Very impressive reception/lounge, all minimalist and white leather settees. Manned 24 hours a day by very helpful staff. Room was very clean, we were only there for 4 nights but the bed linnen was changed after 2, and the bed was very comfortable, although with limited access due to size of room. Breakfast was as you would expect on the continent, very bread based, but there was plenty of it. Also fruit juice and tea, unusually for Italy the coffee was pretty ropey. A lift operates between the first floor and higher levels. Our room was amazingly quiet for a hotel so centally placed, this was probably because we were at the back. This meant we just looked out onto walls, but we slept like logs. The only downfall was the size of the room and particularly the bathroom. If you do go to this hotel and are either tall or portly, then avoid room 307. I am only 5ft 2" and I bashed my head on the water tank every time I had a shower. (Also the shower head attatchment had a bit of an erectile problem so that although it started off nice and pert, it slowly drooped until you were pressed against the wall trying to get wet). The sink was quite large which meant that you had to turn sideways and squeeze between it and a wall to get to the toilet, this would have been a problem for anyone a bit on the chunky side. We did sneek a peek into the next room when it was empty and it did seem a bit bigger than ours, so maybe we were just unlucky.Only a two minute walk from the Spanish Steps or Piazza Barberini, both of which have Metro stations for easy access to airport. All in all a most enjoyable visit.
