We loved just about everything about the Hotel Adriano in room - except our room. The hotel is located in a great location, smack between the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Situated on a semi-quiet street, the hotel is around the block from a handful of good restaurants and bars. Inside, the lobby and lounge make a great first impression. The lounge, with it's flat screen TVs, nice spread of food and plenty of comfortable seating was a great place to grab a drink. However, once up to the actual room, you see why this hotel is such a bargain. Our room was the typical shoebox European hotel room.. barely fitting our double bed. The wardrobe/dresser's doors couldnt open fully due to the lack of space. The bathroom was outdated, and the shower was the 'floor drain' model that floods the entire bathroom floor. While they do offer a cleaning service, when i called the lobby on a Sunday requesting an iron, i was told i'd have to wait to drop off any clothes in the morning... something which wouldnt help me for dinner than night. Breakfast was underwhelming.. especially compared with the other places we stayed while in Italy. Despite these negatives, we'd still recommend the Adriano. We weren't in Rome to stay in our room, so besides for sleeping/showering, it isnt a huge deal for us. We'd rather be in a good location than have a 500 square foot room.

The room was small and unfortunately without a real window, so we could get no fresh air. The toilet was too often out of order - no funktin - and that was wery, wery bad for us. The reception was however very kind and fast to make it better.

Hotel atmosphere was fine. Nice reception and breakfast room. Perfect location. Breakfast was not great - but OK. The room was ok except that it was without a window. I would definitely have preferred a window. It was with two single beds. I would have preferred a matrimonial bed.

Room was large and comfortable. Plenty of hanging space and other storage. Bathroom was fine, 'wet room' shower took a bit of getting used to,but plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Location was good for Pantheon,Spanish steps and Piazza Navona and close to several good eating places. Taxi transfer to airport arranged by Hotel was excellent - only time in Roman taxi not terrified. Would come back again.

Hotel Adriano is a very nice hotel not far from the Spanish Steps. I stayed in a standard single room. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very small. There should be a shelf in the shower for the shampoo bottles because you have to put it at your feet. My size is small and I had no problems, but I wonder if a bigger person could have a comfortable shower without smashing elbows and kness on the glass or on the wall! Anyway I understand that it's a problem to find spacious rooms in Rome. There was a small tv set and little desk, no tea of coffee facilities (but that's common in Italy). The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good (but the air conditioning in the breakfast room in the morning was too cold). The hotel is wonderfully located and you have to walk a few minutes to get in the most beautiful places (Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Via Condotti, in 15/20 minutes you can walk to St. Peter). I would recommend the hotel: it's the best you can get for the money you pay.
