Most notably I like Yeegos price quotes for an entire stay, not quotes based on the average nightly price like so many other hotel reservation websites do.

Easily reached on foot from the railway station (an asset in Florence)- the hotel overlooks a pleasant square, although very busy during the day. The hotel is pleasant, with reasonable sized rooms, very comfortable beds & provides typical Eurpoean buffet breakfasts.
On arrival, there was some changes needed: there was confusion over the number of nights we were staying and having asked for a pleasant room with a view - we were given a very dark room overlooking the back yard. Since we were staying for 7 nights, it was important to us that we were moved. The hotel staff sorted out the problems and arranged for us to move to a very good room overlooking the square first thing the following morning.
Note for anyone who may be interested - the hotel locks the front door at midnight - its OK - there is someone there to let you in - but you have to ring the doorbell - you cant just walk in.
I would stay there again - although would phone beforehand to check what room I had if the stay was for more than 1-2 nights.
