Viking Hotel Reykjavik

Hotel Viking (formerly Viking Village Hotel) is a different and fun property located in the centre of the beautiful coastal town of Hafnarfjordur, offering views of the sea. The hotel is easy reachable from the capital Reykjavik by bus, taking only about 15 minutes to get to Hafnarfjordur. Fjaran restaurant provides an elegant dining experience, serving traditional cuisine with specialities such as fish and game. The restaurant is in a house overlooking the harbour with a cosy and romantic atmosphere. Viking Restaurant offers a true Viking dinner experience where guests will be served an old fashioned Viking feast. The night also includes crowning one of the guests as honorary Viking, singing valkyries, treats and surprises. Every June, hotel Viking hosts the Viking festival during which over 100 Vikings from Europe meet at the hotel for two weeks. Viking Kidnappings take place in an annex to the hotel known as the cave, where guests can have a true Viking adventure. The West Nordic Culture House is located within the Viking village and is a museum exposing items from the West Nordic countries. Hotel Viking boasts 42 guestrooms, all of which have been carefully decorated. The rooms on the first floor feature a Viking style décor and the rooms on the second floor, a West Nordic theme.
