Nice hotel, big rooms, still we had a room that faced the main street and the trams that passed by were very loud starting with 5 am.

Rooms are big enough and clean. rooms on the street side of the hotel are very noisy. We changed room on the back side of the hotel, they were more quiet. Reception is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is normal, but the coffee was terrible. We took from the Bar which were good. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are many restaurant in walking distance. We received good value for money.

As a decent, no frills hotel for those on a budget, we have no complaints about the Atlas. OK, the location is not the most pleasant, but a good walk or short tram ride takes you right into the heart of this attractive city. We had a room at the front right outside the tram stop, but have to say that the noise was not a significant intrusion and certainly did not disturb our sleep. Room was fairly basic but seemed to be clean and well looked after. Breakfast range was limited, but again, no complaints as you get what you pay for. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient when we dealt with them, although I would say they need extra staff on reception at busy times - just seemed to be one chap rushed off his feet with no obvious sign of assistance. Some noisy guests in the small hours were annoying on one night, but not really the Hotels fault as this can happen anywhere. City is a delight (visited to run the Marathon) and the Atlas is a decent base from which to explore it. Thanks to them and Yeego for accommodating our last minute booking changes - you'll hear no complaints from us.

On arrival we wanted a meal. asked if the hotel restaurant was serving meals. the girl on reception said no only breakfast. We found this to be the case the four days we stayed. The description of the hotel said there was a bar serving snacks and a restuarant.this was my reason for choosing this hotel, in case the weather was not good, this would meant we may not need to go out of the hotel in the evening. The snacks at the bar were crisps or biscuits and the restaurant was closed at night. they did suggest we walked to the top of the street where the nearest eating place was, I think this was owned by the hotel. The breakfast was not very good either, if you did not get down before 8am the coffee was cold and stewed. We stayed at the Ibis in Prague in 2004 it was great, if we had known there was one in Budepest I would have booked that. I was very disappointed in the Atlas our bed was falling apart and I would have liked coffee making facilities in the room as again the coffee was cold at the bar. I overheard a couple of people complain and ask for it to be heated up. When I asked for the drinking chocolate I had ordered to be heated up, the girl was quite offhand and rude, of course she was chatting to a young male friend at the time.
