Received an upgrade from Standard double to a suite with a sauna, just by asking when checking in! This room was superb & caters for 4 people. Service could not be faulted and the location was the best around. It is a very pretty hotel from the Vaci Utca street, which is the location to be in. The buffet had a lot of choice, though some of it was odd, but not a problem as lots of variety. Did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment.

Our stay at the Taverna Hotel was fabulous! It is in the perfect location, right on Vaci Utca, and great for walking everywhere (or very close to a metro stop if you need one). The cafe on the front 'porch' is great for grabbing a quick bite, having a late night beer or just people watching. The rooms are a little tight but for the amount of time spent in them it wasn't a big deal. The service at the front desk was very helpful, providing maps and tours of the city and even letting us check in early in the morning, which was much needed after an overnight train ride! The hotel does have a luggage room in case your room isn't ready when you arrive. They also set up a transfer to the airport for us very early in the morning and the cab was right on time. The buffet breakfast has everything one would want, from cereal to eggs to fresh fruit and yogurt to meats and cheeses, and tons more. Over all this is a great hotel and a great price from yeego.com!

The hotel is excellent although a few of the amenities were unavailable due to the current refurbishment, our stay was good with very clean rooms and friendly staff. A wide range buffet breakfast. Out of the hotel into the city centre streets full of bars and restaurants.
