Although the rooms were basic, they were clean and the hotel was in an excellent location next to the Danube and our rooms overlooked the river. Breakfast was good and the staff at the hotel very helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Budapest

"Nice& cosy hotel-very good location in the city center. Next to Vaci Utca, and other shopping places. Room was ok. Quiet, very good bed, clean sheets and towels. A bit shabby room still. In bathroom there were tap, waste basket and toilet brush broken. Service in hotel ok, breakfast was excellent! There were even hot chocolate next to tea and coffee. We could recommend this hotel to travellers who wants to stay in city center, and dont need luxery."

Hotel was nicely positioned by the Danube and centre. I got a room with a view of the Royal Palace despite being told they were all sold. The reception was slow because there was only one person there. The breakfast was good, but when we tried to go to the restaurant once in the evening, we were impolitely told it was full. But this was not unusual in Budapest we found out later. I don't know about the cleaning as I told them not to bother as I was there only 4 nights and I visited the bath houses twice. For €184 it was vaalue for money but not at their rack rate: about €90/night for a single.

The hotel reception is quite gloomy and the staff are rather unfriendly. However, rooms are nice, breakfast great and the location perfect for exploring the sights.
