Clean, in very good condition. Friendly staff (this is Greece after all!). Breakfast at higher level than that expected for the hotel stars.

Great locanion, the Plaka,Monisteraky is by walking!Easy come from the airport with buss no. x-95 and only for 3.20 euro .The staff were very helpfull.Breakfast is good.We will come again!!

The Arethusa was great for its location. The room was spacious and very clean but all over rather dingy and dismal. This wasn't a real problem as cleanliness was what we wanted wherever we atayed. However, we did find that other hotels in the nearby vicinity provided the same level of service but more modern and friendlier. The staff were OK but did not seem to go out of their way to assist with a first time trip to Athens. They provided the basic information that was asked but we always felt it was a bt of an imposition. We would probably stay at alternative accomodation on future visits to Athens which we absolutely loved!! Apologies but there are too many other options equal to the cost and location that seem to provide a better service.
