For the 14th time we had some wonderfull days at Hotel Evripides. Thank to the very friendly staff, we got treated like family and we felt so much at home. Since Easter the area has undergone quite a change, and we feel much safe now - nothing bad happened to us. Our warmest greetings to the staff at the hotel - and we are loking foreward to se you again. A special "Hello" to our chambermaid from Albania.

Although the room I had during my second stay had clearly been occupied by a smoker, I still think the Evripides hotel was very good for its price. Don't expect very much luxury, but a decently sized room with working airco (no luxury in Greece), location bit out of center but only 20 min walk to akropolis, 10-15 to shopping, and a roof terrace with a great view of the akropolis.

Just came home from a 10 days long stay at the hotel Evripides. As always (we spent the last 12 Christmas in Athens), we became a warm welcome from the staff at the reception, the breakfast room and by our chambermaid. But we have to warn anybody staying in this area. Do be very careful in the streets, specially after dark. We were brutally robbed by a gang of North Africans Easternight. So did others too, we learned. But we want to express our gratitude to everybody working at this hotel. They took so good care of us, listened, comforted, corresponded with the Police, helped us, gave us presents and just were SO sorry for what happened. And so were the local greek people! For the 12th time we spent Christmass and New Year in Athens - and as always stayed at the Evripides Hotel. We would not stay anywhere else! It has become like a home to us. Due to friendly and helpful staff. Due to the warm atmosphere they create for us. Due to the so good location, close to the Metro and life in the center. And due to the magnificient wiev from our balcony. Pleace notice: Odos Evripidou has undergone a change the last few years to the better. We do feel safe in the streets!!

Quite ok for its price and location.Near to central points. The area is a bit rough, but we never felt really unsafe.Would stay again, and recommend.
