I visit Munich at least twice a year and usually stay in a small hotel just 4 minutes walk from the Marienplatz. However, on this occasion that one was not available so I opted for the second time to stay at the K+K despite it being a distance from the centre. This is not a problem in practice because not 50 paces from the hotel is an elevator that takes you on to the platform for the U6 (direction Garching-Forschungszentrum). The fifth stop is Marienplatz (the city centre) - the trains are every 3 or 4 minutes and the journey only takes about 6 minutes. Because of a morning flight I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 but there was no problem about an early check-in and the woman on reception was extremely friendly and helpful. By European standards the rooms are reasonable in size and pleasantly modern with high quality bathrooms. There is free wired Internet access and there are two PCs in the lobby one of which has a printer that is free to use and handy for printing out a boarding pass for a return flight. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a large and varied selection of hot and cold items. Only the coffee was bit disappointing but as a bit of a coffee fanatic it is something I have got used to. Very few hotels offer a really good cup of coffee. There is a very good traditional Bavarian bar/restaurant, Spektakel, about 8 minutes walk around the corner from the hotel. Good beer and excellent food at very reasonable prices. There are also two cafes nearby and a very large supermarket, Edeka, just across in the square. I think I am going to make this my no. 1 hotel in Munich from now on!!

Very helpful personnel, excellent location for my business appointments and close to the U-bahn and to the S bahn stations. Free international press every day such as Usa today, WSJ, Herald tribune and FT and above all free internet and free coffee and tea al time around. I will stay again.

As always up to the standarts. Clean, friendly personnel and a few free extras that make life easier such as free internet, free foreign press and tea and coffee availiable always at the lobby. Plus located just off the underground a great plus. Will return again

I stayed at this hotel for the first time in July as the place I normally stay in near the Marienplatz was closed for renovations. I must say I was very pleased with this hotel. Although it is not in the centre this is not a problem because of the frequency of the U-Bahn service that runs every 5 minutes or even less in the rush hour. An all-day ticket for the whole city costs €5 or €10 if it is your last day and you have to go to the airport. If you leave the train platform in the glass elevator it brings you out in the middle of the road directly across from the hotel entrance. The hotel is very modern and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I did not take the hotel breakfast as I was on a room only basis and it cost an extra €14 which I feel is excessive. I went to the Kaufhof store on Maarienplatz and had a full breakfast for €4.50. There is also a cafe just 50 metres from the hotel where you could also have breakfast or lunch. Further along around the corner on the main street there is a very good traditional German bar/restaurant called Spektakel - highly recommended and relatively inexpensive. I would certainly stay here again.
