Hotel Amiot, Paris

The rooms (one double - one single) we slept the first night were completely unacceptable. Especially my daughter slept in a room which smelt terribly. From the second day we moved into better rooms (after our complains) which were just basic (almost "naked" - except an lcd tv that was totally useless for us). The breakfast was basic but ok for the price. The personnel was very helpful and understanding - the strong point of the hotel. I was told that this is the situation with the hotels of that category in Paris, but, I think that even an old hotel room can be more cosy and hospitable at no cost for the owners. In fact, we stayed in Venice at an old same category small unit last April which I gave it 4.5/5.

Hotel Amiot is in a wonderful location with plenty of action and restaurants and very close to Gare de l'Este. The location was very convenient for us, with Metro, Bus and all trains within a short walking distance. The hotel is rather basic but good value considering the price and location. The staff were friendly and helpful

A very big, clean room for 4 people. View on Sacre Coeur, Next to Gare de l'Est. Very friendly personnel, good breakfast. In short, good value for very good price.

Very friendly at reception. Rooms clean, bathroom also clean (no shower curtain though...)good sound proof windows. French breakfast was good, breakfastroom tiny and floor was sticky and chairs dirty. Hotel position is excellent with train station and metro one step away. Could leave luggage there on the day of departure until our train left. Will go there again if going to Paris.
