Best Western Hotel Axel Opera, Paris

Good location close to Metro and shops and food outlets. Reasonable price. Good breakfast. Lunch provide in cost is a bonus.

The hotel is clean and tidy. courteous service. good breakfast. the location of the hotel is excellent.

The hotel is located in a calmer side street, so the hotel rooms are very calm, too. The rooms are small (typically for Paris), not a lot of space to walk around, but very nice (especially for the cheap yeego price!). Nice and clean bathroom, comfortable bed and brandnew TV with some channels (most French, but also English, German, Spanish and Greek). You can also get roomservice and all this stuff. Staff is also very kind. The breakfast is also good, with bagutette, pain au chocolat, croissants, egg, fruits, yoghurt and cake. Around the hotel are some smaller shops, supermarkets and cafés. In 3 minutes walking distance you reach the lively boulevard haussman with restaurants, bars, and shops. So even if you're travelling alone, you won't get bored. Nearest metro station is "Grand boulevards", within 3 minutes walking distance. It's also quite near to the Opera, so if you're coming from Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, it's a good idea to take the bus from the airport to the Opera (Roissy-Bus). It costs about the same, but you won't have to carry your luggage all the stairs in the metro station (which are a lot!). As a girl travelling alone, I wouldn't like to walk all the way from the Opera to the hotel at night. Better take the metro or don't walk alone (but that's only my opinion, at night alone it's kind of eerie). But the hotel is really nice and you are very close to the centre. I had an awesome time there!

Great staff (a special thank you to the manager who was so helpful), good buffet breakfast, excellent location (5 minutes walk from Metro stop Grand Boulevards), all the necessary amenities. I would recommend this hotel to others, and will certainly stay there again myself.
