Beaugrenelle St Charles Hotel, Paris

We chose this hotel because it is in the central Paris, in the 15th arrondissement, within the walking distance from Eiffel Tower. Friendly staff at the reception welcomed us and guided to our room numbered 001 at the ground floor. It was located apart from other rooms and was fairly quiet except some noise from adjacent toilet (we have own en-suite bathroom with toilet, but just next door there was toilet for hotel cafe customers). However the noise from that toilet disturbs us very rare. In our en-suite bathroom there was modern and well-working equipment, including additional heater and even hairdryer (not typical for two-star hotel). Room was average in space, with air-conditioning, small TV and heater. Double bed was very comfortable. Multiple separately controlled sconces on the wall made very cosy and warm light. Windows faced to the inner small and cozy courtyard, thus no traffic noise could be heard. It allowed us to sleep comfortably. The only significant issue that was the cold air from the street. However it was the good heater in the room, and windows haven't got any holes, it appeared that the cold air from the outside blew through the electric and telephone outlets located just over the headboard of our bed! We couldn't mend that holes, but we found a solution - as the bed could be easily moved, we moved it to the opposite wall and since that moment we could sleep comfortably. A little issue - there was not very many electric outlets, so if you have many mobile phones, notebooks, gadgets etc. with you, consider using electric extension/splitter. Overall expression is very positive and we will glad to stop at this hotel if we visit Paris again.
