| Breakfast is to be taken in the basement: is not very pleasant. |

| clean rooms, friendly / helpful reception, 5 min walk to Gare du Nord and very good breakfast. Close to station and on main road so noisy at night but after first night did not notice the disturbance |

| Accommodation on first night was unsatifactory. Hotel staff were unhelpful. The second hotel (Best Western, Opéra, Paris) was excellent and staff were friendly and supportive. |
