My wife and I stayed at the Castiglione for four nights in April and enjoyed every minute of the stay. The room was well furnisted and the decorations neat and up to date. The bath was ample and modern. Closet space was ample for the stay. The breakfast was excellent and diverse to fortify oneself for the days of sightseeing that we did. The location was perfect for the subway and also for walking to key local sights. The view from the 6th floor room included the top of the Eiffel Tower and was spectacular at night. One way up the street are art galleries and the other way are stylish shops. the otherside of the street are the US, Japanese, British and Colombian embassies, and one block in front is the Champs Elysee, and other block away is the Place Concorde. In brief, it is an excllent European style hotel.

The hotel's location is perfect, very close to nice restaurants and shops. The manager of the hotel is very rude and not polite. The category of the hotel is 4 but in reality it is maximum 3 star. The rooms are very old, dirty and small. There is no private parking at the hotel, and the breakfast is very little and nothing to choose between. The beds in the rooms are old and almost falling a part. So I will NOT recommend this hotel to anybody. Too expensive and horrible.

We were pleasantly surprised esp after the bad reviews i read on internet. But then we asked for a renovated room AND we got it!! In fact we got whatever we asked for. Its a tired 4-star hotel, more 3-star. Clean and room regularly seen to with towels changed daily. Breakfast room small for amount of guests and breakfast offered only adequate. Location good, quiet and safe.
