All of the 111 rooms at the Hotel Nice Massena, be they of Classic, Tradition or Privilege type offer a complete array of the quality services, typically associated with a hotel of this class and splendour. The Traditional category room has air conditioning, sound proofing, a safe, a minibar, satellite television and internet access. Hair dryer is supplied and W/C is separate from the bath / shower room. All rooms are furnished with provencal style colours and light wood. The more spacious Privilege category bedroom is similarly appointed, has hospitality tray with kettle in bedroom and bathrobes in bathroom. Privilege rooms are spacious and can accommodate up to 3 people comfortably

Excellent location, the staff friendly, but still there was one minus point: you couldn't set the air-conditioning on or off in the room. It was some sort of central guided system. That's not a good idea.

The room (and especially the bathroom) was terribly small. Noise from the neighbouring rooms (thin walls?). The view was of the ugly backyard. Breakfast service was not good either with forks, knives and glasses missing every morning. The best thing was the location of the hotel, which was excellent.

The Hotel was located centrally, perfect for exploring the coast as well as the "old town" of Nice. We could walk everywhere and only caught a taxi once to the Cimiez area, for the Matisse Museum however were easily able to walk back to the town centre via the Marc Chagall museum(downhill all the way). The service by the hotel staff was excellent and we were able to obtain good recommendations for restaurants. We felt that the 4 star Privilege double room could have been larger but were told that they are all small. However, we happen to see the double room next door to ours which was bigger so believe that because we booked online and received a deal, the larger rooms were set aside for those people who booked directly with the Hotel. Overall, our stay was a satisfying experience.

Hotel is located in the city center, short way to the beach, shopping, restaurants etc. The Hotel is nice, but it has small rooms, we got a "view" to the back yard so it could of course have been better. Don't forget to put out the "do not disturb" sign, if not, they will try to clean your room at 8 o'clock in the morning ;-). The breakfast was good but the personell could have worked a bit harder, if you go down to breakfast at 9.30 you won't get eggs.
