The hotel building was originally built in 1887 by restaurateur Carl Kämp. Today, after faithful restoration, the Hotel Kämp takes its place once again in the
city center as genuine and elegant as in the past - an experience to delight all the senses. The hotel has become an integral part of Finnish history, blending eastern and western Europe with art, politics and business life. The distance to the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is approximately 20 km.
Rooms Information
Hotel Kämp has 179 individual guest rooms, which have been completely refurbished retaining the original character of the hotel from the late 19th century, whilst providing all the modern facilities. Luxurious marble bathrooms are equipped with bath; separate walk-in shower and all dreamlike amenities. In addition, all rooms are equipped with mini-bar, air-conditioning, Cable TV and free newspapers.
Restaurants & Bars
Guests can choose a suitable restaurant from Hotel Kämp's venues. Kämp Brasserie is ideal for cosy get-togethers. The wine bar offers specialties from all over the world and the new menu brings back a real classic –Reindeer Chops with chocolate flavoured sauce. The Bar and Library serves drinks and tasty appetizers and delicious drinks, as well as morning and afternoon tea. The perfect place for quiet pre- or post dinner drink in an informal and relaxing atmosphere. The Terrace at the Kämp is an attractive patio restaurant and bar on the sunny side of the Esplanade. It is open daily in spring and summer on sunny days.

With it's 9 unique meeting rooms that can be combined and set up in many ways, and with it's strong experience in event organization, Hotel Kämp is the perfect place for meetings, dinners, incentives and social gatherings. The most renowned of all the rooms is the Mirror Room, which has been fully restored to its former splendour. All offer impressive surroundings with discreet high-tech installations such as ADSL-lines, dimmable lights and an integrated control panel to master all technical details by a simple touch on the control-screen.

Room spacious and well furnished.Bathroom excellent with a wonderful shower.
Food in restaurant reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Wine very pricey unless one asked specifically for house wine only.
Service excellent by very friendly staff without the pretentious veneer often found in five star hotels.
Location of this hotel is just wonderful right in the heart of the city. I would recommend this hotel

The room was very nice, cosy and clean. Quiet undisturbed nights. Wellcoming and efficient reception. Delicious break-fast in a modern new furnished restaurant. The service was very kind and efficient. Location of hotel most convenient for discovering the city of wonderful helsinki by walking distances.

The rooms and the breakfast was very good. The location - the best.(i have lived in helsinki for 13 years). Price/quality correct. The starwood gold upgrading was not taking in consideration.
