The foundation stone of the Radisson SAS Plaza building was laid in 1917 and today various parts are protected by the Helsinki City Museum, including some beautiful painted glass windows. The hotel offers a unique opportunity to see and experience Helsinki while enjoying the luxury of our first-class hotel. It is situated in the city center, right next to the central railway station and the bus terminal. The hotel’s location is central to many of Helsinki's attractions - museums, churches, theatres, market squares and parks. The journey time to the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is approximately 30 min.

Breathing the rich history of the building, the Plaza Brasserie and Brasserie Bar offer a uniquely cosmopolitan atmosphere and serve as an ideal meeting place for simply enjoying a drink or an array of international dishes. The Gourmet Restaurant, adjacent to the Brasserie offers Scandinavian cuisine and local specialties. The Wine Cellar offers a wide selection of superb wines and can be reserved for private dinners or celebrations. For a relaxing moment, a digestive and cigars, Lasibaari in its colonial style is recommended. Velvet is a trendy nightspot to end an enjoyable evening after dinner or theatre. Every morning an abundant breakfast buffet is served in the Paakontorri restaurant, providing a superb start to a busy day.

The rooms are fully equiped and very comfortable. Fantastic beds. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide choise of selection. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the heart of helsiniki close to all major attractions and the railway station. A great hotel and good value for one's money.
