Location Overview
Hostel Stadion is located next to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, built in 1940. It is quite a cheap and central place to stay, and nearby are Linnanmäki amusement park, the opera house, Finlandia Hall and the Parliament House, among many other well-known sights. The hostel is located within a pine forest, behind the old Ice Hall, the walk from the nearest bus or tram stop is quite long, so take that into account.
Rooms Information
The dorms are old style, with bunks, and sleep twelve, although there is plenty of table and floor space. There are no rooms overlooking the interior of the stadium.
Restaurants & Bars
Hostel Stadion has an attractive dining room as well as an attached cafe.
Facilities & Services
Worthwhile attributes include free parking and the convenient swimming centre next door, with pool, gym, and saunas. There are an adequate kitchen, laundry and TV lounges.
