We requested the holiday rooms. The rooms were clean, comfortable and adequately furnished with tv. Bathroom was small with shower, sink and toilet. Breakfast included cereal, yogurt, fruit juice, toast, cold meats, cheese, tea and coffee. Hot food was also available but was the same each morning and consisted of a type of mini hotdog with scrambled egg (not so scrambled though!) but was edible. Porridge was an additional option some mornings. The restaurant also served quite nice meals and snacks throughout the day and evening. The location gave us cause for concern when we first arrived as it appeared to be in the middle of a residential estate consisting of low rise blocks of flats and metal cabins complete with shutters covered in graffiti acting as shops. This was purely just a reflection of the old USSR and the area was quite safe all though there is not really anything to do outside of the hotel so we took the 20 minute bus journey into the city each day. There is a bar in the hotel open until the early hours, and a bar close by next to the supermarket but I am told this was not to be desired as it was full of the local alcoholics (of which Tallinn has it’s fair share!). There was also a bar serving alcohol and snacks during the day along the sea front.

Location out of town in subburb but with good exrercise surroundings for our dogs. Restaurant not in the best quality, but it is easy to travell into Old Town by bus or by taxi.

The rooms were dirty. The staff of the hotel was rude as they wanted a payment for any question they were answering. The location was quiet close to the city but it is a very poor (maybe the poorest) suburb of Tallinn, with nothing to do there. The "golden beach" which was 5 minutes walk from the hotel was awful. It was like a big marsh. We had to pay any service provided by the hotel (eg. internet access, sauna, room service) The breakfast even though it was quiet good for the hotel standards, it didn't have neither marmalade nor honey! Generally the 44Euros/night seemed to be extremely a lot of money for this hotel. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, from the cheapest in Bangkok to the most expensive in Monte Carlo and Athens. Hotel Stroomi was the worst value for money hotel I've ever been. I hope they change in the future!

Nice hotel, not too expensive, although out of town, it is very easy and quick to get there by bus, even until midnight. Staff is very friendly; communication in English was no problem. Rooms are rather small, but calm, sunny, very clean and functional. Bathrooms are minimized. Restaurant /breakfast room is not very nice: too many rugged carpets and used table cloths... it does not really look clean. (although it probably is)
