It's a nice hotel, very close to the city-center. The rooms and the baths are cleans but the baths are a little small. The breakfast is OK. They allow us to live the luggage till our departure (16.00). I'll return it.

The architecture of the building is awsome and its location centrally. The reception staff are helpfull the doorman (the shift of of aneast european guy)I was standing infront of him more than 20 minutes to finish a chat on him mobile with an irrelevant conversation The breakfast despite we find The rooms extremely noisy. The last two nights of our stay they had disco nights. We stay sleepless the night before we departed and we did not sleep the night of our departure as event finished at 01.00 and our flight was at 05.00 we and other rooms of our floor complaint to the duty manager with he just offerd an apologize. I am in travel industry for many years. We did not get from the hotel what we paid. They should refund us at least the last two nights of our stay

The single room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable with good amenities. The low rating refers to the appalling excuse for service I experienced during check-in and breakfast in the Kings Bar. The man who checked me in at the front desk was unable to answer any of my basic questions about the hotel (time breakfast is served, check-out time, upgrading to English breakfast etc). The Russell Hotel doesn't seem to employ sufficient staff - every morning when I went down for breakfast between 7am and 8am no tables were prepared. They were full of dirty dishes from previous guests and I had to wait between 10 and 20 minutes to get a clean table. On Monday morning I was seated at a table by the window by a male waiter. I was half way through my breakfast when a female waiter came over to me and said in a rude tone "if you are here alone you can't sit at this table, move to the single table over there". After that experience I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel for the remainder of my stay (continental breakfast was included in my room rate). I was very disappointed by my experiences at the Russell Hotel. Despite its convenient location and comfortable rooms I will never stay there again. I cannot believe that this hotel was once a member of the Le Meridien group.
