Excellent location, close to Angel tube station. All hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Foyer, restaurant and rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Reasonable choice for buffet breakfast which was adequate, just an additional £2 for those needing hot food. Quieter at night than expected. Would book again.

I normally stay around Kensington during my breaks in London, but since prices have risen in recents months, I decided to try this Jury's hotel Islington. Well I wasn't disappointed, but please remember, do not take a tube to Kings Cross to get to this hotel as some recommend, otherwise, like me, you face a trek for about a mile and a half uphill with your suitcase!! You MUST go to ANGEL, which is about 300m away. For a 3 star hotel, in many ways I would say that it ranks alongside many 4 star hotels for facilities, decor and cleaniness (and I'm fussy!). The rooms, I found were quite spacious, considering the amount charged for the room, which I found was very reasonable and competitive. All in all, a very enjoyable stay, and I would definately go back - highly recommended (for a 3 star hotel). I also found that the local area was relaxed , with a good selection of quite trendy restaurants. PS - Beware - Jury's advertise eating in the bar throughout the hotel and there are pictures of lovely, freshly cooked Cod & Chips. Well, don't take any notice, as my portion was a rectangular shaped frozen piece of lead! at £7.50, I wasn't happy - be warned fish lovers!! PA

The hotel was lovely, no problems. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipt. The hotel had two restaurants; one pub style serving bar food and drinks until late, and one restaurant which is also where the breakfasts are served. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. The reception was very grand and the staff were extremely helpful. I would definately stay here again.
