Funny hotel. Pretends to be 4 star, but our room was VERY dated, noisy and stale. On the positive side: Price was right (for pricey Copenhagen), minibar was free with two beers and cokes, WiFi was free (didn't try), hotel had a real "old world" feeling. They say they're renovating the hotel by the end of the year, I heard some of the rooms are reanovated already.

rate on internet was good but I extended my stay & they did not cope very well. They removed my property were very slow returning it, never made an apology. On 2 occasions the staff burst into my room without knocking & they tried to overcharge me when checking out!

The Kong Frederik is in a great location, just off a City Circle (Bus 11) stop near City Hall. It's an easy walk to Tivoli and the Train Station. The room was clean and large enought to walk around without bumping into one another constantly, and the free minibar was a great plus. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful (and spoke English very well). Definitely a good value for the location, room and service.
