There is no van to and from the airport on the weekend, which came as a surprise. My room was small but not unpleasant.The bathroom was tiny and cramped and badly lighted. The combined breakfast and dining room is impersonal, but the buffet-only food is rather good.

After reserving Hotel Dan (because of it's location near the airport) we read some very bad reviews. (I actually was concerned enough to email the manager!) True, the hotel is in more of a residential area out of center city, but the neighborhood is fine and train or bus are within a few blocks. True, it's a business hotel with mostly one-night stays and the lobby is a little stark, but it is as clean as can be and the staff is friendly. There is internet access in the lobby and you can print out your boarding passes through the front desk. NOT true that the rooms are bad. They are plain, clean, quiet, good size, large windows, comfortable beds and adequate baths, with TV. NOT true that there's no where to eat. They offer a single entree dinner buffet at a very reasonable price, and there is a very good, reasonable Chinese restaurant that's lovely, immediately across the street. There's also a good local bakery around the corner. True, the breakfast buffet is small, but it's adequate. True, the shuttle to the airport does NOT run on the weekend — BE AWARE! and only in the mornings (starting at 8) otherwise, but that's probably why you're there, to get a jump on the morning. The driver was great. Holland America and Costa lines both house crew here. This may not be the location if you were in the city sightseeing, but it worked perfectly and comfortably for a departure base.

A suprise 4 star hotel. Facilities were basic, no toiletries in the bathroom, no ironing facilities in the room and no clock!! Bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Staff were not exactly attentive, a little on the grumpy side and we didn't get our wake up call as promised. Only stayed there for 1 night, probably would not return again unless we were stopping over, just like this time. Not a good first impression of Danish hospitality.
