The hotel fully coresponds to its rank (3*), location is quite good - just 10 minutes to the Old Town by bus or tram. However, if you would like to walk to the city center (like me) - forget it, the way is too complicated. So you have to use public transport which is very comfortable. Good breakfast. Unfortunately there were some problems with quietness as the hotel was overcrowded by young groups producing lot of noise in nighttime. And hotel staff did not care about this at all. The staff was generally very friendly and helpfull, however, there was very frustrating case when checking out: a very friendly lady (mid-aged, black-haired, don't remember her name, probably Helen) charged 75 CKK for 1.5-minute call within Prague, and I was stupid enough to pay and not even to ask a bill. Moreover, she charged another 100 CKK (50 CKK per suitcase) for storing our suitcases on reception for 1 hour, though it should be free. And I was stupid again to pay. To resume: nice hotel, but be carefull when checking out!!!

Not really in Wenceslas square,about a 30 minute walk, but can get bus from outside!Public transport cheap and clean.Clean hotel. Good breakfast. Helpful friendly staff.

When I arrived at Hotel Seifert, I found out I'd been transferred to a different hotel (Hotel Amadeus). The Amadeus was close by but certainly didn't seem as nice. To top it off, the Amadeus put me in a room where the TV didn't work. When I asked to be moved, the only room they had free was downstairs right next to the reception, where there was a bar working till 3am and people being buzzed in all night (was Saturday). Very unhappy. I complained the next morning and they did try to be helpful--ultimately was moved to a top floor room which was nicer and very quiet. So, not the ideal experience but turned out OK. I do think that if they are going to have to move you, they should move you to a place that is at least as nice (since your expectations are being disrupted), and certainly one that has functioning rooms available for each night of the stay.

Nice and clean room (with a fridge and a hairdryer). The breakfast was very good and it was even possible to sit outside in a small diningroom.
