Radisson Blu Resort Hotel Split (formerly Hotel Split) is located in a quiet district just outside the main city centre of Split on its own private beach near to bus station. The Hotel boasts of a lush, Mediterranean-styled garden fronting the sea. The distance to the city centre is 5 km and to the Split Airport is 25 km. The imposing Diocletian Palace, a major structure built by the Romans during the 4th century A.D., is a mere 25 minutes walk away from the hotel. Other historic, mostly pervading Roman architecture, like the Pjaca Square, Peristil Square, Temple of Jupiter, etc. may be easily reached from the Split.

Radisson Blu Resort Hotel Split offers fantastic sea views and a tranquil atmosphere in a modern style Mediterranean white building, which was built in the year 1990. The hotel is able to offer sea views from most rooms as nearly every room has a balcony. The building is L-shaped, as there is a newer wing built on to the original building. The Hotel provides a total of 136 rooms, which are furnished in modern style in 7 floors. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, hair-dryer, mini-bar, satellite TV, direct dial telephone and a private bathroom.

The hotel is near the sea and has views of a mountainous coastline, but surrounded by high-rise blocks that prevent one from enjoying the view. The room was pleasant, cool and clean, and with a very nice bathroom.
The most serious problems was the behaviour of a loud and drunk group of young men who took over the swimming pool and behaved in a way that was childish and intrusive. I felt that the hotel management should have intervened to stop this as it was preventing other visitors, particularly young women, from enjoying the swimming pool.

The room was good with a balcony loooking out onto the sea. The breakfast was generous and the staff friendly. The restaurant near the tiny swimming pool is nice. Also the say the beach is private, it is not. It is not far from Split but the bus stop is not so near

Quiet rooms, comfortable beds. Some rooms have a view. Bathrooms dated, need refurbishment. Service generally friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast, included in tarif.
Not very close to the old town. Possible to walk along the plaza (about 30 minutes) but easier to take a taxi.

Room and bathroom had not been cleaned. Beds were unmade when we arrived. A/C maded to much noise to sleep. 148 Euro was entirely too much. Should be rate a 2 star or less.
