Hotel San Antonio is situated right on the coastline, right on the shore of a magnificent beach. Podstrana and its riviera feature beautiful sandy beaches. Visitors can enjoy its plushy Mediterranean vegetation with pines and tamarisk forests, the sun and the beautiful Croatian sea. Numerous restaurants offer home made specialities and Dalmatian wines. The region is also famous for its high quality peaches and cherries. Podstrana is also the favourite public beach among the citizens of Split |

| This hotel was the only negative experience during 9 day-travel in Croatia. We paid for 2 standard rooms in a 4 star hotel and what we got were 2 modest and very poorly furnished rooms in a building at the rear of the hotel, the so called "Villa San Antonio" in a 2nd floor with no lift. To make it worse, the manager was extremely rude and asked for 60 € more for each room to move us to the hotel building. He refused to talk to us any further and, when we asked for the hotel complaints book, sent an employee saying that the hotel didn´t have one. We are going to make a formal complaint to the local tourist authorities. I would like to send you some pictures of the room we were given, which was far from "beautifully furnished" as described and is very different from the photos provided. |

| The hotel is brand new, very modern and elegantly designed. Rooms were spotless, with great maid service every day. Rooms equipped with mini-bar, Flat screen TV, air-conditioning, spacious balcony, lots of storage space, jacuzzi bath and double sink in bathroom. Unfortunately, although right on the beach, we did not get good weather. Finding something to do was a challenge and getting something to eat was even harder! The hotel did have nice meals and there is a lovely bakery across the road. However, we travelled up and down the coastline and into the city of Split (£12 - £14 in taxi) and there is hardly anyhting but cafe bars. Do the people only drink beer and coffee na deat ice-cream??!! |
