very bad bathrooms, very bad beds, no air conditioning, bad taste in general...

expected more for that kind of money. stayed in apartments for the rest of the holidays and was seriously surprised what a difference one star makes, by being charged less per head and night.

The room was clean but was a basic dorm room with no TV, no air conditioning (it was 40 degrees). Very run down looking. It was not at all like the pictures. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The beach was a 3 minute walk away and breakfast was ok especially compared to other similar hotels around Europe.

A pleasant two night stay in a basic but clean room. Location excellent. Pity the hotel has no lift.

Park view rooms are away from the road and less noisy - there is no lift, but hotellocation is very good - rooms clean and tidy - food was very good and had a good selection. You need to ask for airconditioned room as some don't have it.

The Adriatic has one great advantage - the bus to the Old Town stops right outside the door and the hotel sells bus tickets. Rooms and meals are OK - fine for a short visit to Dubrobnik.

Location of this hotel is a little bit far away from the old town but in front of the hotel, there is a bus station just every 20 minutes departure to and from the old town. The breakfast menue is quite good in in comparison with the room rate. One bad point is they do not install the lift in spite of my room located on the 4th floor so I had to bring up my heavy luggage by my own. The receptionis was quite good attitude to me with friendly atomosphere and hospitality. In total, this hotel meets Value for Money for any travellers.

The hotel is generally in good order, pleasant rooms with views over the bay. The food was of a higher standard than might be expected of a 2 star hotel but with the restaurant situated on the other side of the main road to the hotel this may be seen as a disadvantage to some.

Reservation was not registered upon arrival, but this was resolved later on. Room quiet and clean, but furniture worn and no TV. Breakfast average. Close to the beach. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Sub-standard for the price asked.

As we arrived at 22:30, I called before to ask if we could have something to eat. They had kindly prepared a cold buffet in the restaurant for us and other travellers. The following day, we woke up late (at noon?), but didn't hear the room service knocking or trying to enter the room. We didn't say anything to the reception, but, as we came back in the evening, our room hadn't been prepared. The room was OK. The furniture looks a bit old fashioned. The bathroom is very convenient and very well renovated, but it was a bit small. The view of our room (number 548) was, from my opinion, one of the best of the hotel : panoramic balcony aroud the corner at the last floor. View on the see and on the pinetrees. Wonderful! The hotel is well located, not very far from the center and very near from the next little beach. The indoor swimming pool (open when the outdoor one is closed) looks very nice. The price is very cheap compared to the good service and the quality of the reception. Thanks Yeego !

2 double rooms - in hotel annex, no lift, no TV, no shower curtain, noisy in the front of the hotel so moved to the back which was better. Reception - rather formal and tried best to help. English some of a problem. more friendly when we returned after a week in Hvar. Breakfast in resaurant - okay Close to sea - a good area of 'managed beach' - cafe staff varied from good to distinctly unfriendly. Lapad near Dubrovnik

Room was a little bit small for 3 persons. But it was clean & quiet. Restaurant was located across the road from the hotel. We were satisfied with the food. It was very delicious.

The room was really nice, the view too. But i would like to complain about the service. We booked and paid trough the internet. When we arrived at the hotel they said we had to pay again because we didnt pay. I didnt print my confirmation of the paying because a good working hotel is suppost to have that theirselves. Then i went printing it for them. After reading the confirmation they still said we had to pay again, wich we already did! Then suddenly they said 'ok ok you've paid' out of nowhere. And then they wanted ME to pay for the internet use and the printing!

Rooms were nice with a good view ! We left early and therefore I can't comment on the breakfast. I have seen more friendly staff (reception) at other hotels...

Convenient for Dubrovnik city - minutes on bus and walkable to the ferry port. Rooms very clean but a bit dated - brown everywhere. Ours was at the back which was very dingy but as we didn't spend much time in it, there was no problem. Get a front room if you can for the nice view. We paid £50 per night B&B which is good for this area - most hotels are quite expensive in Dubrovnik. Plenty of eating places nearby and hotel restaurant is across the road. Although a bit like a canteen, breakfast is very good and there is plenty of it, self service! Lots of other restaurants in the Lapad area for dinner. Don't go in the one in the main pedestrianised street which is upstairs with big open windows and has fishing nets hanging up on the ceiling. You will wait forever for your meal and the staff are rude, miserable and overworked. We walked out after waiting for at least an hour for our very simple meal for 2.

Nice position and clean (see view and closer to bus stop to old town), not all people at the reception is friendly... rooms have air conditioning but are too small and with too old furniture. No TV and hair dryer in the bathroom. The elevator is ever and forever out of service. Breakfast is ok.

Clean rooms with good housekeeping. We got very good service by the staff. Beach and busstop situated right by the hotel. Hotel-breakfast was better than expected! But coffee awful! on the conterary, the hotelbar's coffee was amasing!!

I got what I paid for. I wanted an inexpensive hotel, that was clean and neat with a convienent location. My only complaint was the management did not put an "Out of Order" sign on the elevater. Having to lug our baggae up 3 flights of stairs (they offered no assistance)was one thing, but why couldn't they put up sign?

Room was basic and a bit old fashioned, but enough space and nice and quiet. The hotel itself was in a good location for buses into Dubrovnik, which are frequent and cheap. The hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast fairly grotty, but that seems typical for this quality of hotel in Croatia.

Basic accomodation, rooms-good size and very clean. All rooms have TV and phone. Service was good, except wouldn't let us use a room to change when we were checked out before we left for our flight in the evening. Staff are generally friendly and eager to help. Location is good, its on the same street as most of the other hotels. Its very convenient for the beech and the bus stop to the old town is just outside the door. Overall, since the price of the hotel was cheaper than most and bearing in mind its only a 2 star,it was good value but if you want your comfort, think again!

THe Hotel Adriatic was a good value hotel to enable one to visit the city of Dubrovnik. Service was good, front office staff very good and the restaurant staff were excellent. Local bus ensured direct access to city. Left from outside the hotel (at reduced price if ticket bought from hitel). The only complain was that we were not advised that there was no lift to upper rooms. We managed but it was not much fun. Rate hotel well

Rooms very small and cramped. Furniture tatty ( drawer fronts fell off)and old. Dated furnishings (dark brown gloss paint everywhere, dirty carpets)Bathroom adequate and clean. Hardly the sumptuous breakfast they describe - cold and overcooked scrambled agg and frankfurters but bread nice and fresh. Staff mainly surly although helpful. needs a complete revamp and custtomer care training! Poor value at £80 per night
