We stayed in Hotel Exclusive, Sarajevo. It was a great hotel. The people were very kind. If you needed laptop, a car, a little snack in the evening everything was possible. The restaurant was great, very good food.
The hotel is not in the center but it will cost you 10 KM (5 euro) to get there, so it's not a big problem. Next year when we come back, we will come back to the same hotel.
In Dubrovnik we went to another hotel, named Kompas. That hotel was not that good. The staff were very kind!! But the rooms were not that good and the breakfast was terrible. The location was not that well and a taxi is more expensive than in Sarajevo.

Nice area, nice little pool, helpfulm reception staff, tiny room with virtually no space round bed, rotten breakfast. Good for passing through; less than ideal for longer stay.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our rooms were slightly dingy but we didn't spend too much time there as we were either out and about or at the pool, which is smallish but great for relaxing by. The hotel is about a 15 minute bus ride from Dubrovnik's old with regular buses. However, there is plenty to do in Lapad, which has its own beaches and a long stretch of shops restaurants and an outdoor internet cafe! It's difficult to be a budget traveller in Dubrovnik as it is very expensive so while 50 pounds a night is quite expensive, that seems to be the going rate in this city for the lower end.

The hotel Komodor is a Really nice hotel set in a superb location, with close proximity to all amenities, also the bus No4 to the Old Town is just around the corner. Breakfast was nice as was our bedroom contrary to a numbe r of reviews we read before going on various websites. Staff were friendly and check-in was extremely quick. We also had luch inthe hotel on a number of locations, this was also lovely. I would definetly reccommend the hotel Komodor.
