| Astarea Hotel is located in the small village of Mlini, just 200 m away from the center and 12 km south from Dubrovnik. The entire area is known for brooks that flow from nearby sources, lavish Mediterranean vegetation and beautiful pebble and sandy beaches. The hotel is situated on the very seafront, in a beautiful mountain setting and 50 m beside a pebble beach. With regular buses and water taxis to the old city of Dubrovnik and Cavtat, you can explore the surrounding area with the distance of 5 minutes stroll to the quaint fishing village of Mlini. A small selection of bars and restaurants are suitable for couples or families who would like to have some facilities in relaxing surroundings. | Hotel Astarea is divided into two types of accommodation, the main hotel building with excellent facilities (Asterea I) and two-story annex pavilion building located in spacious grounds, just 30 m away from the main building (Asterea II). The hotel has been completely refurbished in 1998 with 307 comfortable rooms including 217 rooms in the main building and 90 rooms in the annex. All rooms feature a balcony with sea view and come furnished with private bathroom with shower, hair dryer, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar and safety deposit box. | Hotel in good location, food not great, needs more variety, hotel not ideally suited for childrens needs - you could do with a baby pool in the main swimming pool to faciliate younger children. Also it would be nice if tea, coffee facilities were available in the bedroom. |

| The room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff were very pleasant, very efficient and very hard working. Disapointed that my wife and I had to move rooms on three occasions before getting the type of room we booked. Reception staff were not helpful. Breakfast food was disappointing and the waitresses were unhelpful and rude. and bar staff were efficient but not pleasant or friendly. The location was very good. |

| Hotel was basic but clean. Staff were not very frendly Food was of a very low quality. Glad i had only booked Bed & breakfast Tried to complain that we had booked and paid for 2 rooms and we were told that they had no other rooms available and that the room they had provided us with was very nice ? |

| The room we have had in Astarea 1 was cleann and very confortable with a huge terrasse which is not true for every room. We were not having our meal in the hotel so we can not assess the food. The location of the hotel is great regarding the easy access you get from the Mlini harbour with shuttle to Dubrovnik and the islands around. It is close to Cavtat which is also a nice place with good restaurants... |

| the hotel was nice and had a very efficient service, the room was not bis but was convenient. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, which was quite good. The hotel has good facilities if you have enough the time to enjoy them, and the receptionists know english which is quite rare in Croatia, and it made our stay a little easier. The hotel is very close to the airport of Dubrovnik, but still very quite and you can't hear the airplanes taking off or landing. The hotel has also air condition (at least the room we were giver had one) which was very helpful since the weather was warm.
