Hotel Mlini, Dubrovnik

Good for a 2*. Close to sea. Avoid sea view rooms as can be noisy above restaurant terrace if early bedders. Quiet good buffet breakfast. Clean rooms, helpful staff, reasonable English spoken.

We was wery satesfid whit ewerything.

The room itself wasn't bad, but not great. We had a balcony and a lovely view. However, the bed itself was old and uncomfortable, and gave me many sleepless nights. By far the worst, however, was the service of the staff, who generally resented the presence of the guests. We tried to leave a day early, and the hotel refused to let us change our reservation (even with plenty of advanced notice). We made the mistake of taking the hotel shuttle to the Dubrovnik bus station. At first, the shuttle driver took us to the local bus stop, than demanded we pay him to take us to Dubrovnik. We agreed, but then at the first sign of traffice, he litterally abandoned us on the highway. Avoid the Hotel Mlini if you want to enjoy your stay in Dubrovnik!

The rooms are small and the toilet prefabricated. There is no air conditioning. The breakfast is OK. The beach near the hotel is precious.

Very quiet family hotel, no aircraft noise Bedroom: small, in need of refurbishment, but with a fantastic view (mountains, beach, stone bridge over stream, just across from harbour and a range of restaurants / coffee shops / boat hire / jetski) Buffet had reasonable choice, good quality, house wine was very good value Mlini is much less busy than might be expected given how picturesque it is; the reason: it has not yet rebuilt the large hotels damaged in the 1991 war
