| The hotel hotel offers 397 guestrooms with elegant 18th-century-style furnishings and manor-house oil paintings. Large bay windows open to city views. Thoughtful touches include nightly turndown service, complimentary CD players on request, and closets stocked with umbrellas. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee. | Restaurants & Bars |
Fine French cuisine fashioned from seasonal Pacific Northwest products is the attraction at Restaurant Fleuri serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Full-course table d'hôte dinners are featured, along with signature dishes such as filet of turbot, roast quail, and lightly smoked rack of lamb. Guests who don't see what they want on the menu can make their preferences known to the kitchen in advance, and the chef will oblige. The chocolate buffet is legendary. Gerard Lounge is an intimate lounge reminiscent of a private English club complete with fireplace, leather furnishings, wood paneling, soft sconce lighting, and landscape paintings. Movie stars and showbiz types, many of whom stay at Sutton Place's luxury apartments when filming in Vancouver, are often seen here

Our stay at the Sutton Place VAncouver was great. The rooms were well apointed, had all we needed, quiet & comfortable.

I chose Sutton place for the location, spa/pool facilities and good reviews on other websites about the attentive concierge and general level of service. It was also the best deal on a 3.5 star hotel (it's not a 4 star, but rates a solid 3.5 based on my first stay there). They gave us a 17th floor King with a great view. The service and concierge were very good, as advertised. The pool/jacuzzi/steamroom and locker room facilities were quite nice for an urban hotel. The exterior of this hotel is rather average, but the interior is fine. It's not an Ian Schrager type of place and not a boutique. We did not eat at the hotel, except for pastry and coffee from the small sidewalk cafe (which was adequate in quality for our needs - we went there to cash in our breakfast vouchers). It was just the right hotel for a long weekend. Next time, we'll likely try a different hotel, but we'd be happy to stay at Sutton Place again. Vancouver Dining Tips: Try C Restaurant - great seafood and service. Vij's is the best Indian food in the city.

The hotel was very nice and close to shopping (teen age girls loved it). Perfect for a single or double, but there were 3 in this room so it was pretty cramped. Parking was also expensive.

The Sutton Place was a lovely, elegant, traditional hotel. Our room was the standard layout and furnished traditionally and nicely. Our bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping service was several times a day, very attentive. We did not eat at the hotel but it does have what I know to be the finest Sunday brunch in Vancouver. I just didn't need the extra calories!! My daughter and I enjoyed the swimming pool. It is unfortunate that, when the hotel was in the Meridien chain, they chose to have the pool where it is, requiring the guests to walk through the lobby area of the hotel. There was no way I was walking there with a bathrobe. Otherwise, this is a first rate hotel, comfortable, elegant and attentive.
