Orla Copacabana Hotel, Rio de Janeiro

Location of hotel is fine, right on the end of Copacabana and a few minutes walk from Ipanema beach. Don´t think the hotel was too busy when I was there, so was a bit disappointed to be given a small room with a view over an internal courtyard. Not quite the seaview I was hoping for. Otherwise, staff friendly, room small but clean. Would use again.

Very nice, modern and comfortable, perfect location, no hotel parking but parking was available on the street.

The location was great, always felt safe even in the evenings. Rooms a bit small and the breakfast room was way to small with to many people, had to queue. Overall clean with great staff and would stay there again.

excellent place. the rooms we got (standard) were small and with no view at all. breakfast - good. using the internet was very expensive and so were the offers we got from the staff to get around. for examp- they recommended to buy tickets +transportation to marakana in 100 rials while ticket costs no more than 20 rials and getting there by bus cost 2.10 rial. Besides this its clean pleasant and located in the best part of kopa (very close to ipanema).

We had to wait for a room to be ready; meanwhile two other families, who came in after us were served. They overcharged us 15 real for a taxi to Lapa. The room smelled of smoke and had a view of a cement wall. We will not be returning to the Orla.

The Hotel was very nice for the price. It was missing dresser drawers and a remote control for the AC, but otherwise it was very comfortable and well located.

On the whole, it is a very good hotel, good location, just across Copacabana beach and 6 blocks away from Ipanema beach. Breakfast is good, big variety of fruit and juices and the coffee is good as well. I would have liked a bigger variety of cakes. they only offered a vanilla type of sponge cake and when they changed to a chocolate one it was horrible, the croissants had no taste, but the bread was good The only big disadvantage was the room they gave us. It looked out to nowhere. You could not even see the sky. It gave out to a wall of the the next door building. We had to pay an extra of 4 reales for the safe in the room.All in all I recommend this hotel.

The hotel has an excellent location, one cant go wrong in choosing this hotel in that regards for sure. Its the right choice for anyone wanting access to Copacabana & Ipanema beaches. The rooms are very decent for the price, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is decent not a large spread & very limited choice for vegeterians. All in all the hotel is a nice choice for anyone looking to be in a excellent location & have a decent accomodation withouth having to tax the pocket. I would reccomend this hotel.

Having recently stayed at the Orla, we found the location, hotel and view fantastic! Very good value for money, we booked the deluxe room which had a spectacular view of Copacabana beach and Sugarloaf Mountain. The rooms were a decent size, and the staff nice. We loved the position of this hotel, as we could easily walk Copacabana beach or Ipanema being right in the middle of both.

The Orla was exactly what we were looking for: moderate price, clean rooms w/ tasteful design, and friendly staff. It is located within perfect walking distance to Ipanema, and great for strolling along Copacabana. The breakfast is fabulous - great fresh fruits, sweet breads, eggs, etc. Has a little bar/waiting area in the lobby which was good to grab a drink while waiting to meet friends. Decent rooftop pool, not huge, but great view and nice to have a drink on. The staff was friendly, they allowed us a 4:00 checkout on our last day, which allowed us another beach day before heading to the airport. Rooms were clean and updated, and have very good showers! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to use a hotel as a "home base" during their stay, and doesn't require abundant amenities and pampering services (the Sofitel is right next door for that). We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Rio.

Small but clean and nice rooms. Nice terrasse on the top, with amazyng view on copacabana. Great and attentionate people serving you... and very reasonnable price... Probably one of the best value for money in Rio.

Everything was as expected. The hotel in Brazil was nice, the service excellent and the food delicious. All of us was very satisfied.

Very very small rooms and depressing. Location excellent. Foyer great looking. Will never stay here again for any money. Shower great. Great for a bussiness hotel, but not for vacation. Quite a few of us stayed here to connect to Oceania Cruises, but will never use again. Aircon was so noisy, we could not even put it on. Room thus was very hot.

Get a deluxe room with a view of Copacabana beach - we were near the top floor, amazing view each sunny morning! Service and breakfast is good and definately the best for value.

Loved our experience at the Orla Hotel. The rooms were well furnished, the room service perfect, the breakfasts fresh and tasty and the location can't be beat. For the price and locale, you cna't beat the Orla.
