the room and the bathroom are comfortable. the hotel is not so new but it has a splendid view on the sea side and a strategic position in one of the most elegant districts of rio

The nightly rate was very expensive for the quality of the room. We were not warned that the hotel was currently under construction and thus there was drilling noise etc. and a limited room service faciity. Sometimes the room was only cleaned at 4pm by house keeping instead of late morning.

Room was on the 21st floor. Double window looking out onto the beach was definately worth paying extra for. Breakfast was lovely, and service overall was faultless. Mini bar was cheap (£1.25 for a beer!) and well stocked. Would definately recommend. Not much around there to eat out/drink, but Copacobana is only a £2.50 taxi journey away. Trips from the hotel were significantly more expensive than if booked directly with company in Copacobana but still reasonable vs. UK prices.
