| Excellent Hotel. Rooms and bathrooms very nicely appointed and new. Excellent breakfast and very helpful english speaking reception staff. Some people have commented that it has a poor location but we really liked the neighbourhood as we felt it was safer than other parts of Copacabana which were more touristy and therefore more expensive and more dangerous. It's only 50m from the beach and the the neighbourhood is full of friendly locals going about their business. It's also well located for public transport and local value restaurants. The only critism is that one of the more senoir bellboys tries to push you into one of his greatly overpriced taxis when you leave the hotel- just say no - he is on 30% commission and the local metered taxis are safe. |

| Viewed rooms on many floors and most were not great - very few outlets, small televisions, cold tile floors, uncomfortably low sinks and sound travelling from floor to floor - and from the tiled floor hallways - as though people talking in the hall late at night were actually in my room. Made it near impossible to sleep. Fitness room was in a state of decline and rusting, business center was two computers in the bar. Front desk repeatedly failed to give me messages, causing me to miss meetings and dinners. Front desk failed to enter reservations into the computer system that I had made, causing work associates reservations to be non-existent. It was infuriating. |
