Hotel Description

The 5-star Das Cataratas Hotel provides free Wi-Fi internet access. Guests can enjoy a cocktail by the swimming pool or play a game of tennis on the provided court. The falls can be experienced by speed boat, rafting or by a helicopter flyover. For excitement and adventure, guests can enjoy abseiling, rock climbing and canopy walks. Walking tours allow for the surrounding lush rainforest to be explored. Das Cataratas Hotel offers traditional Portuguese styled rooms with a flat screen TV, dark wood furniture and warm natural tones. Some rooms provide a balcony and seating area. The two restaurants on-site provide views of the falls and of the hotel’s pool. They serve a selection of international and local Brazilian cuisine. In the evening live music can be enjoyed in the downstairs bar.

Das Cataratas Hotel is situated near the airport, the hotel is close to Parque Nacional do Iguacu. The Iguacu Falls lie between the Brazilian state of Paraná and Argentina. The Brazilian side offers postcard panoramic views, while the Argentinian side provides varied, up-close views.

Excellent location, shame about the refurbishment programme which caused the pool to be closed for the period. Great choice although the hotel tends to cater to more 'mature' crowds.

Really nice hotel, with laaaaaaarge facilities (swimming pool, launge, gardens, corridors,...) Very few stairs. Staff very professional and really kind. The rooms are big, old style, high ceiling, very confortable bed. The bathroom is old although everything works well. They are about to renew all the rooms in 2008. Very good breakfast in the terrace seeing the waterfalls. Very good dinner buffet (aprox 48 USD + drinks). Internet is free. This hotel is expensive compared with others in the town of Foz do Iguaçu, but you pay for the superb location, location is just great, in the middle of the National Park, 40 meters from the start of the path to the waterfalls. Our staying was really good. There is a 2.5 USD room tax per night, not included in yeego price.
