Location Overview

The exterior of this building is very traditional as it consists of typical Dutch townhouses which are all so familiar in Amsterdam city centre. This popular hotel is a good three star property which offers a reasonable level of comfort in a prime location. This hotel is located in the heart of Brussels city and is in easy access to many restaurants as well as business districts. Many famous tourist spots such as the Royal Place, Flea Market, the stunning Saint Catherine's Square and the Antique market are in proximity from this property.

Rooms Information

This hotel was built in 1990 and consists of 80 rooms spread over 6 floors of which 55 are doubles and 12 are singles. The rooms are also small and are decorated in either pink or apple green in modern style. They are not furnished with especially expensive materials, but they are comfortable. The bathrooms are small, simple and up-to-date and all are in good condition. All the guestrooms at the Floris Avenue Hotel are spacious, comfortable and exquisitely furnished that satisfies all your requirements for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Restaurants & Bars

Here is no restaurant apart from the breakfast room and this can be found on the ground floor. A cosy bar can be found within the hotel complex. The hot and cold buffet breakfast provides guests with an ideal way to start a busy days of meetings or sightseeing. You can sip a fine drink and relax after a hectic day in the tranquil setting of the hotel bar.

Facilities & Services

The lobby is large with limited seating and there is also a small bar adjacent, which is very popular with in house guests but is only open in the late afternoon and evenings.

This is the second time I use this hotel and report. I think that most aspects are confirmed: a pleasant reasonable well-managed and clean hotel, on the edge of a somewhat uncomfortable area (Midi) but for that reason convenient when arriving from Paris or Charleroi. This time there was a problem with an elevator bell that kept ringing, but it was eventually fixed and can by taken I am sure as an unusual event. The breakfast is OK, but no fresh fruit...

Start with the positive: The location of the hotel is convenient for most of the centre of the city being only 10 mins walk from the Grand Plas, Le Sabon and the Eurostar station. However: The hotel was decidely tired and in need of a major overhaul. The aircon did not work in our room. The breakfast was poor (even the cornflakes were dodgy) This hotel was no better than 2* and no better than a Travelodge but considerably more expensive.

Excellent value. Enormous room with very comfortable bed. Wi-Fi not free (slightly annoying), but at 3 days for €25 not expensive and fast connection. I only missed tea/coffee facilities in room.
