The Hotel Metropole is a superbly renovated hotel whose gracious charm has been splendidly preserved. It is Barcelona’s only remaining 19th century hotel, perpetuating an uniquely Belgian character that sets the note for a delightful stay in Brussels. The hotel is situated on Place de Brouckère, right in historical centre of the Capital of Europe, just steps from the Grand Place, the Bourse and the Theatre de la Monnaie, and close to the city's most exciting shopping thoroughfare. The distance to the Brussels International Airport is approximately 15 km

The Alban Chambon restaurant, opened in 1985, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2005. Sumptuous Italian-baroque décor combined with classic and innovative cuisine make this an elegant and intimate dining choice. The Le 19ème Bar is elegant and refined and features a relaxing atmosphere in a timeless decor, serving cocktails and fine aged whiskies. The Cafe Metropole with unique open terrace is open all year round and provides a more relaxed and enjoyable ambience

Hotel Metropole provides business guests with 10 function rooms accommodating from 5 to 600 persons. All meeting rooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with modern audio-visual facilities. Room, very comfortable and good size. Bathroom well equipped. Air Com/Heating complicated, did not use in the end. Staff efficient and helpful. Food good, breakfast very substantial, plenty of variety. Some hot food could have been a little hotter, i.e. Scrambled Eggs, Sausages. Location-good for Shops, a little further out than some hotels from Grand Place, but not too much outside noise because of this. Rooms requests (i.e Low Floor) where given- no problems.

Our stay at the Hotel Metropole for three nights was a great experience and made our stay in Brussels a rewarding time. The hotel is lovely and the staff were very helpful. The room was much more than I expected. The valet parked my car in one of the spaces in front of the hotel and saved me 45 Euros. I will most certainly stay here again.

I've stayed at the Metropole a few times, the public areas are amazing, the cafe and the front terrace a pleasure to use. My room booked with YEEGO was one of there cheaper ones with absolutely no view out of the window except a brick wall, but it was still great to be there. They let me into the room three hours before their 3pm check-in time. Breakfast was in the price and was excellant.

from first minute in hotel, everything was fantastic. Early arrival (10.30 a.m) but room ready with complimentary upgrade to a superior room than one booked. Hotel very centrally located and close to metro. Bars very enjoyable for either a lively drink in the Metropole Cafe or relaxing cup of tea in the 19ieme with piano music. Breakfast excellent selection. Room very comfortable, clean, with wonderful view of Place De Brouckere. Staff very helpful and courteous. All in all, a wonderful stay and I definitely intend to return.
