Hotel Ambassador, Vienna

Unfortunately, noisy building works are going on opposite the Hotel. Rooms on that side too noisy. All staff very nice and helpful. Rooms large and comfortable. Breakfast very nice. Hotel very central to everything in Vienna. I recommend the Hotel to anyone once the building works opposite are completed.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a perfect location in the heart of the city - 5 min walking distance to the Stephansdom. Good value for money.

Hotel Ambassador enjoys a truly special location, with Kärntner Strasse (Vienna’s most exclusive shopping street) on one side and the historic Neuer Markt on the other side. The extremely spacious rooms are both elegant and stylish. The foog was very good, and the service was perfect.

The rooms are big, comphortable and clean. The service is good. The location is great. There was a problem - the nose in the night becouse my room 111 was closely to the restaurant. However, after three nights the administrator changed the room. In addition, there is free smoking in the lobby and restaurant. It cause bad smell on the floor.

The rooms at this hotel were very spacious and very warm considering it was -4C outside. The breakfast was OK although the hotel tried to charge us 10 Euros extra for pancakes without first infoming us that they would be extra. The hotel reception is very small for a hotel of this standard.

Our room was spacious and very well appointed, it was on the 5th floor and consequently we had plenty of natural light however it meant climbing a flight of stairs as the lift only took us to the 4th level. This did not inconvenience us but could be a problem for some. The location was just perfect, friendly staff and I would recommend the hotel. Brian Taplin

the hotel is very centerly located.the room was specious,nice decorated.i felt very comfortable. the staff was efficient and kind. it was a plesure staing in the hotel.

Ideal situation in Vienna central quarter. Service (breakfast & bar) is not really up to the requirement of a five star hotel. Fitness or relaxation facilities are missing. Nevertheless we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay in Vienna.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed at, anywhere. Very central, enormous rooms, very comfortable, great service. The restaurant is expensive though and there is no iron in the room, rather the maid does it for a charge.

I am basing my assessment on the fact that the Ambassador is a 5 star hotel. Generally the hotel is quite pleasant. By and large the staff were good and the receptionists were particularly helpful. The room I had was OK but you have to close all the windows not to hear the noise from the surrounding streets. Furthermore, one could easily hear people just talking from the adjacent room. The air conditioning was poor and very noisy in the room so whilst you are sleeping you have to switch it off and within a couple of hours the room becomes to warm and stuffy. Aside from the individual bedrooms, the rest of thee hotel does not have any air conditioning which is quite poor for a 5 star hotel. The whole of the restaurant was pre-booked for the duration of my stay.
