The De France Hotel was constructed in the year 1872 according to Vienna's famous Ringstrasse. This elegant five star hotel is located in very centre of Vienna at a stones throw distance from St. Stephen's Cathedral and Spanish Riding School. The local transit points are quite close at hand. Very little service for a 5 star hotel. No swimming pool. No honey! Rooms are big and clean. Perfect location. Breakfast vas great.

Great location, Good breakfast, Super staff, Complimentary mini bar is so convenient and it’s always filled! Via Yeego good value for money, however we first got a room on the 4th floor which was really not nice and not worth 5 stars. It was small, not much light since window looked at an inner square court. Opening the curtains was not a good idea since the people from across the court yard could see in your room and vice versa. The room was very warm and we couldn’t cool it off, no way sleeping with the window open because of some kind of motor/machine noise? One of the walls felt really hot, like there was a chimney behind it. So the next morning I asked the receptionist if we got this 3* room because we booked cheap via Yeego, I also told her that I’ve stayed in other hotels in Vienna, also booked through Yeego, and that I never had had a problem. She (as well as the rest of the staff at Hotel De France) was really kind and helpful and although the hotel was almost fully booked, we got another room on the 3rd floor which was just perfect. Much bigger, nice window overlooking the Schottenring, nice big bathroom, etc.. So overall a nice experience, but I would advise you to try to add some specific wishes regarding your room if possible when making a reservation.
