The breakfast was not up to the mark

The NH Hotels are spanish good hotels. The situation was perfect and the rooms in good conditions.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, very central. large room, would stay again i think!

Modern and stylish hotel,welcome staff. It was a real pleasure to dwelt in the hotel,where everything is designed for pleasure and fun.I wish i have such a Room design in my home. Breakfast is very tasty. Lobby is very conviniently designed (there are 3 internet spots for free around). Lowlights: We can not adjust the air conditioner. Hotel parking is very tight and I think there is no spave for all quests(arrive early=catch the parking!!!)

Spacious rooms.- Great breakfast starting early in the morning, so almost everyone travelling at that early time could have a breakfast.- Gentle staff.- Rooms on the front side a little bit noisy.- I really enjoyed my stay to the hotel and I recommend it to any visitor to Salzburg.

Triple room, chair bed not too comfortable, not much room for luggage either. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, but traveling with small children it was a little frustating that the rooms had no connecting doors. Also some of the rooms smelt of stale smoke although they were very clean and comfortable.

this is a pleasant hotel near bus and rail station. It is also within walking distance to Mirrabell Gardens and The Altstadt. Staff are helpful and courteous. Bedrooms tend to be hot, but they are up-grading at present with air-conditioning. Breakfast is more than adequate. Restaurant closes at 10pm.Bar area is okay.Free internet was available. Good value for money.

Thr room was elegantly decorated with a nice size bath/shower. Relatively quiet location and within walking distance to all attractions. I had problems with the room (air coming through the door making a loud hissing noise and loss of electricity) and they were unable to accomodate me elsewhere so they provided a voucher for a free drink at the bar. The service was professional and friendly with excellent English. The restaurant looked beautiful and spacious with a separate area for smoking. Great food. Great service. I would definitely stay there again.

Very modern in a convenient location, helpful staff. There was no a gym in the hotel unfortunately.

Only 3 nights stay in the 4 star NH Hotel Salzburg. I have never been totally satisfied with a 4 star Hotel in my entire life - so I have to admit - this was the first time. I only give 9 points because the beds have rolls underneath, so the can drift apart. We (I took my girlfriend with me on this business trip) asked for another room, and in no time the showed us two different rooms with one double bed without rolls underneath. But we didn't like those rooms, they were not as noble furbished as our first room, therefore we decided to stay in the large room with the rolls on our beds. The page boy helped us to rearrange the beds by putting away the bedside table. He discovered that the brakes of the beds weren't put on. After that it was much better, but not perfect, because I don't like rolling beds at all - therefore 1 point deduction. Why we liked this hotel: It is very close to the bus station Mirabellplatz though there is one station directly in front of the hotel, we never used this one, because Mirabellplatz is a bus junction, and only 5 minutes away from the hotel. The surrounding is great not fightening at the night, the buses drive the whole night, a 24h ticket is cheap (€ 4,20) the half price for people with disabilities, children, etc. The location is perfect, next to the hotel a shop (Spar) normal-priced, and the have excellent paninis and different kinds of buns. Also the lower-fat milk tastes delicious, and there was enough space in the fridge in our hotel room. On the other side - we have next to the hotel a Chinese restaurant, not expensive at all despite the location to the hotel. There is also an Indian restaurant next to the Chinese one, but we haven't tried it. Amenities: For a better sleep, you can order different kinds of pillows, what we did, and it was worth it. The bed was kind of permeable to air and a 3-degree of hardness, I slept like a baby! You can get an electric steam-iron including the board for free and they let it in your room for the whole stay. Remember you have to ask for it, because it is not mentioned anywhere in the room. The internet is for free - but only in the lobby (2 Computers) and you can not plug in your own laptop. There is also a safe, a hair-dryer and shoe-cleaning stuff in the room. You can open the windows - recommend it on the backyard side (it was very silent in the night). There is no air-condition yet but they are working on it said the notice in the two elevators, but we haven't heard any kind of noise from it. The bathroom includes the toilet, I don't like that. The bathtub was a bit strange it was large endways but narrow widthways and no handle to get up easily afterwards. But I liked the shower gel and shampoo; one smelled like apple the other like orange. My girlfriend didn't like the shampoo she said it made her long hair shaggy. So women beware of that! Breakfast was very ok; the waitress brought the coffee automatically to your table without asking. We didn't order anything else to drink because the coffee was not very strong and tasted good. But I've seen a machine around the other corner, Nespresso or something like that. They have different kinds of bread, buns but as far as I've seen no wholemeal buns. On week-ends we couldn't find any vegetables at all, what a pity, so don't get up too late (like 10a.m.). Fruits and also diabetic jams are always available, not to forget to mention muffins and cake, but I wouldn't recommend the muffins. I haven't neither seen any boiled eggs, nor asked for it, but you can find fried eggs and scrambled eggs. The unique thing in the hotel was the sauna, you can go there anytime even in the night. You make a short phone call and they heat it up in 10 minutes. It was amazing that you can use it after 12p.m. It's only a small sauna, though there could be more than two persons in it, I wouldn't recommend it for more than two. You have a shower opposite the sauna with sliding doors so you can shower privately. And there are also two machines for working out, but we didn't use them at all. Not to forget to mention you can also order a bathrobe, ask for it, because there is no note for it in the room either. The television offers many channels in different kinds of language like Chinese or Arabic, not to forget programmes like Premiere Film, Sport and Disney. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, she even looked up the proper bus connections for you - that was extraordinary. Thanks to yeego - it all worked out perfectly for us - we got a very bright and non-smoking room - as we asked you for!! Next time we will 1) book here again and 2) stay again at the NH Hotel Salzburg.

Rooms very nice and clean. Food was good and the location was very central. Just a pity that they wer updating some of the rooms at the time

The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was a good size with the comfiest bed I've ever slept on. The staff were very freindly and helpful. The breakfast was superb, we had so much choice, so we just gorged ourselves everyday, and didnt eat again until the tea time. The location was great, just a short 5 minute walk past St.Sebastian church into the city centre. Would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was superbly situated, close to the old town centre, a mere few minutes walk away. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was perfect - very clean, nicely decorated, very good facilities. Despite the size of the hotel, it never felt big and certainly not noisy. Breakfast was fantastic with enough, in quantity and variety, for anyone. I would definitely stay there again if I returned to Salzburg.

A top hotel - the only downside being that there was a lot of building work, with drilling from 8 to 6 everyday! However, good breakfast, large room, good service, I would stay again - the price might have reflected the building work, plus the 3 for 2 offer made this a great value break.

This is a very modern hotel that it sparklingly clean and has very helpful staff. The restaurant has gorgeous food and the bar has a good range of drinks and great service.

The stay was a very pleasant experience, my wife loved the hotel, and so did I. It made for a great short break, especially so due to the hotel location, good rooms, and very courteous and helpful staff.

The Room was very basic.The chairs not very comfortable. The service at the checking in desk was excellent and every member of the staff was very polite and courteous. The Breakfast was excellent with many choices of hot and cold foods. However, we were very disappointed with the Restaurant service. We had booked for a meal on Christmas day for 19.30. We were on time. It took at least 30 minutes before someone took our order and the first course arrived an hour later.Location was great.

The hotel is clean and good located- you can reach the city centre, shopping streets and Getreidegasse within a few minutes, but the pictures of the rooms on the hotel homepage and on this side are far away from reality. The reception and restaurant are new and modern like shown on the pictures but the rooms and floors look like an old 2-3* hotel. With blotch on the brown carpet and cheap furniture. I was also looking in rooms on other floors- the rooms seem to be the same like ours. Maybe ask whether they have new renovated rooms and you can get one of these if they are existent. Breakfast was great although there were many people and we had to wait for a free, clean table and part of the food. We even got a parking ticket for parking in the street in front of the hotel, although we did ask at the reception whether we can park there. All in all it wasn’t that bad but I expected a far more modern styled hotel and professional staff force for a 4* hotel.

Very good hotel, helpful staff, good service, good rooms, well maintained, great breakfast bar, excellent location would and will recommend NH Salzburg to anybody wishing a visit to Salzburg. Well Done NH Hotels.

Taxi rank immediately outside to take you anywhere in the city or to the airport. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, provide you with map of the city and areas of interest. Bar just off the foyer which serves drinks and a small selection of hot and cold snacks. Breakfasts were excellent and offered everything from fresh fruit, cereals and cooked breakfast. Rooms well maintained and modern with more than the basic facilities. Safe and mini bar/ fridge available in the room. NH Hotel Salzburg is well worth a stay!!

Nice room with cosy modern furniture,bathroom either simple, very quiet room on the back side of the hotel. Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Luggage store on the leaving day,beautiful sauna !Would certainly recommend this hotel at a very reasonable "Yeego"-price.

Very small room with no comfortable furniture, no drawers or shelves. Tiny bathroom. Not pleased with the situation of the hotel. Large, good breakfast; clean restaurant and kind, helpful people.

We are a family of 5 persons and had two rooms. The hotel wasn't as good as we expected. Rooms were a bit run-down with cheap furniture. The sink was broken (water didn't go down). Fridge was first broken or off (all drinks warm). We had to ask staff to fix the sink and the fridge. It was July and +35 outside. With no air-conditioning rooms were so hot (especially on street side). Breakfast was excellent though. Location ok. Should have chosen some other hotel.

Nicely refurbished NH Hotel with great buffet breakfast in the morning. It tends to have tour groups, but that didn't pose any problems for us. Two PCs with Internet in the lobby was great to check email and weather and things. Would definitely recommend it if you want consistency and a nice place to stay.

Location was great, only a ten minute walk to the centre of town and all the sights. Room was clean and well decorated. Breakfast good.

I was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were fine, but nothing special. However, the defining features of the hotel were its impressive location and superb complimentary breakfast. Although located in the new part of the city, the hotel is situated a five minute walk from the border of the old city. Furthermore, most of the best restaurants we found were located on the border, and within just a short walking distance from the hotel. The hotel provides the best complimentary breakfast I have ever experienced. After finishing your meal which may consist of your choice of cereals, fruits, cooked fry (hashbrowns, bacons, eggs), pastries, or meats and cheeses, you will be setup well for the day regardless of whether it is on the slopes or in the old city.

Rooms where great. Pillows could have been better but otherwise very nice,clean and modern.Breakfast was great too. So much food to choose from....although eggs could have been cooked better.The location was perfect, central to everything. Walking distance to everywhere you need to go.Hotel staff very friendly.Free internet was a bonus too.The only thing you can be negative about was that it was a smoking area in the lobby/restaurant area.So if you wanted to hang out down stairs you couldnt as many people where smoking.Also people pay no attention to the no smoking in the lifts so you may get in a lift like we did that stunk of smoke.There is construction next door but from our room we heard nothing and found it very quiet.I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay there again.

A Wonderful Find. The rooms were modern, very clean and comfortable. The staff where friendly and eager to help. The food was marvellous. Breakfast, a buffet with a huge selection to choose from, English, continental, cereals, fruit, fruit juices, toast etc. Self service, you just keep going back for more, not one word of complaint from our 18yr old son!!! (keep hold of your knife and fork though!) I also confirmed breakfast was included in the booking when we checked in. Dinner. We dined at the hotel one evening, and again, like breakfast, it was in the form of a buffet but with a chef to help serve. The meal was of a good standard. We dined out mostly, eating out is not expensive, unless you go to Ikarus, Hanger 7!! The famous St. Peters´s Keller, http://www.haslauer.at/ offering Austrian specialities is a fantastic restaurant (not cheep but well worth it. Who could argue with Clint Eastwood and Sir Peter Ustinov?) Another recommendation is the Zipfer Bierhaus Sigmund Hafner Gasse 12. The Picnic bar Getreidergasse is a good place for lunch, with or without young ones. Hotel bar. Not somewhere you’d stay for the evening drinking but great for a few drinks before bed. In the bar area there where a couple of PCs available with free internet access and an internet connection point for laptops. Somewhere handy for our 8yr old daughter to sit and play on the CBBC website! (coming off if there were adults wanting to use them.) The bars we went to, didn’t object to us taking the little one in, day or night. I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending this Hotel. We will be using it again in the near future.

A good standard business hotel within a few minutes walk of the Old Town. Rooms well furnished, quiet and beds comfortable. Meal in restaurant ok; breakfast very good. Would return.

Excellent location for exploring Salzburg. Lobby, public areas and staff are all quite good. The rooms could use a bit of updating.

A majestic hotel set in 'old' Saltzburg. Central to all amenites all within 10 - 15 mins walk. The Hotel itself was of a very high standard with excellent facilities. Very clean & well maintained with staff offering excellent support & service. Highly recommended

The book was very smooth, and no unwanter misshaps. The hotle was very nice and clean, with plesant and helpfull staff. I intend to use the service again, for business and pleasure.

The NH Hotel Salzburg is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Europe so far. The hotel room was just as advertised. The breakfast was boutiful and delicious. We also ate dinner one evening and it was one of our best culinary experiences. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be beat-we were in the center of everything. I have recommended the hotel to other associates who are planning to visit Salzburg and I would stay there again.
