A wonderful hotel,friendly people and fantastic location. Luxury rooms but without view...

The staff could not do anymore for us. The hotel is beutiful,clean and situated in in a great shopping / Bar area.

This hotel was by far the best hotel in Salzburg. The people that worked there were kind and helpful. When the taxi dropped us off we couldn't believe how lucky we were to be at this hotel. The picture that Yeegoo has for the hotel does not do it justice. The picture Yeego has is the back of the hotel. The front of the hotel and the inside is beautiful. It is very quaint and cozy. A true taste of Salzburg. Many shops and restaraunts are within walking distance. The street the hotel is on is like the Rodeo Drive of Salzburg. The rooms were clean and the chocolets on the pillows every night was an unexpected bonus. The breakfast was better than any continental breakfast I have ever had. This hotel was truly a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back!!!

I booked a room with yeego for the Goldener Hirsch hotel, one of the best and most expensive hotels in Sazburg. It is locataed on the Getreidestrasse, the main pedestrian (and shopping) street in the "old city" just a block or 2 from Mozart's birthplace. I chose it because I had been having knee problems and the GOldener Hirsch in the the center of everything I wanted to see and do in Salzburg. It was 4 blocks from the Dom cathedral but most fo the streets in the area are pedestrian only with lots of sidewalk cafes, fountains, open squares, etc. When I arrived at the hotel in Salzburg the front desk people were expecting me and they treated me like a queen. Since I paid so little I was expecting my room to be the size of a broom closet but I was shocked when the bellman opened the door.My room was huge by Salzburg standards and had a 12 foot by 18 foot marble bathroom, a 20 foot by 28 foot bedroom with TV and lots of antique furniture, etc. Then the bellman showed me that I also had a separate sitting room with a minibar, another TV, 2 large upholstered easy chairs and several small tables. I was amazed that I was given such a luxurious room!!! THe hotel employees were very nice and helpful, they arranged concert tickets, called ahead for taxis to pick me up, let me check out late and let me leave my luggage at the hotel until later in the evening. I had dinner in the main dining room before the concert. The wait staff knew that I had to be finished with dinner in time to get to the conert via taxi. The food and service were wonderful - I had veal tenderloin with morel sauce, fresh white asperagus (spargel) and a delicious chocolate souflee for dessert. They had a taxi waitng for me outside the restaurant door and I got to the concert in plenty of time. I saw a menu in the room for breakfast int eh main dining room and th ecost was 27 euros. I thoutht hat was a bit pricey and i ahd to be somewhere on the other side of town by 9:30 so I skipped breakfast. later I sowa on my voucher that breakfast was included so it's too bad I didn't go to breakfast. I met someone at the hotel who said she was paying $800 a night for her room and she didn't have a sitting room. I was embarassed to tell her that I was only paying 180 euros.
